Sline is not a performance level. It's an appearance package. Your upgrades are all going to depend on how much money you're willing to put into it. The best bang for the buck and might satisfy you is to put a k&n filter in, test pipe or hfc, and a stage 2 tune. Everything after this is gets significantly more expensive for the horespower gains.

Swapping the tranny on a fwd may not be worth the money/time especially if you intend on adding more power. With all the additional torque you will have slippage upon launching or driving the car from a ditch. Torque steer is not pleasant. It might be easier selling your current car and finding you a platform that's easier/cheaper to begin with i.e. A4 with Manual transmission and Quattro. Just my 2 pennies.

    By that you're going to:
    1. waste money, LOTS of it
    2. doubt your vehicle will operate the same or the way you want.
Don't fuck with a perfectly stock vehicle. If you take care of it and keep up with maintenance it should drive much better. Key things are fresh oil, spark plugs, air filter. If you want to dress it up a little maybe a nice set of rims along with performance tires and brakes. But if you really want a stick, sell or trade your car for one.

Yep you're better off finding a true s-line Quattro with a 6MT. Someone out there is looking for a good commuter vehicle and what you have currently fits their bill. Easy to drive in traffic and fwd yields better mpg unfortunately. It shouldn't be too difficult to find an affordable a4 in lieu of yours.

I agree with all of the above! sell it Now and get a quarto! i made a mistake and stuck with my FWD CVT for years. now i am runnig a hybrid turbo custom stage2+ with every conceivable bolt on and custom mod you can imagine. and to be honest with you love it!!! but i wish i could push the car towards 350-400 BHP mark but cant because already swapped one trasmition and on my second engine.

Quattro is definitely a plus. They also made a manual transmission that was fwd only so you wont need to do a quattro conversion. Plus you will be able to do burnouts in low gears. If you got the car for relatively cheap, I would keep it. But i have to say once i got quattro im never going back.

Doesn't have more power, but the handling is a world of difference. So no, it's not just an appearance package.

The only difference it is lower by 20mm and has a large diameter anti roll bar. Superior handling can be achieved with coo lovers and eibach anti roll bar. Or if the budget is tight, 30mm lowering springs and rs4 anti roll bar..
