Part missing, please advise

Does a shield go here? Or nah? 04' B6 1.8t

Pic is of the rear of engine bay, driver side just under the coolant reservoir. There is a shield on the passenger side protecting the rack but none on the drivers side.

In the circles you can see the square holes where the nylon body nuts would go, similar set up on the passenger side.

I think only on the 3.0 as the 1.8 does not have an exhaust on that side.

Makes sense. Wanted to make sure I didn't misplace it while pulling the eng/trans. Thanks.
