Sinister! I know people will have mixed opinions about this but it is nice to see something different for the B5!
Well done Bobkat, well done indeed.

    if you're prototyping, i'd consider

    1) More reinforcement for the front splitter.
    2) Aero off the front wheel wells (backside pressure release -- see dtm style louvers)
    3) aero gap between front splitter and front wheel arches allowing air to smack the front tires
    4) I'm not sure any of your doors still open
    5) That's too much rear wing
    6) I'm pulling you over just to see the car

looks awesome though. better looking than many of the prototype style body kits i've seen.

When I saw the title of your thread I got excited but this exceeds my expectations a thousand-fold. Absolutely stunning! Love what you did with the rear flares. Reminds me of a B5S4 version of a DTM car. If this rendering makes it to production I will be ecstatic (fingers crossed). Put me down on the list!
    Stay tuned...

Just noodling around. Working on some other actual flairs and decided to see if this would work. Most of the ideas are taken from the modern time attack cars that have started to mount massive front and rear wings and need to be supported from underneath or to the actual bumper mounting locations. As you pointed out biggest issue with this on a compact 4 door is making it work with the doors. This was more of a see if it would visually work.

The front splitter is the TrackZilla (in development and very close to done) with a different mount. TrackZilla has center brake ducting.

I have been working on some big big flairs that will be finished first. This was just another idea to see if it would something this aggressive would work. Very well may try it.

The flairs are almost exactly like the past images I have posted. The first physical test and install will be going on a B8 S4. It is a universal design aimed at 4 doors.

I like everything except the giant wheels with rubber band tires. Scale the wheel diameter down and put some real tires on it'll look awesome.

    Rad design, Bob!

I personally like big wings... like over the roof big wings. Lol. The flares look nice too.

A lot of the flare designs I've seen in the last couple years have looked just plain odd. Too much flat surface area with very little shaping. Like this. Specifically the trailing edge of the front flares and the leading edge of the rears.

Ya when you do these renderings with actual dimensional correct wheels they look tiny. Problem is when you scale them to get the right look they are huge.

Are you referring to the sketches you did of the cuprazilla on a b5? Obviously those sketches had wide fenders.

I think if you are going to have a car looking like that, you better back it up with a ton of horsepower and even more driving skill!

Yes those, it the real world they are almost exactly like the rendering only a bit wider at the bottom. The fast taper did not work in the real world and did not blend into the side splitters.

RS4 is only 2" wider than an S4. The widebody x6's are almost 4" big difference. I am just noodling ideas to get much bigger tires on the B5. Goal is to get 315+. Even the simpler flairs that I am working on should be able to get shoes that big in. This ideas was just to see if the B5 body would pull of some of the trends that are in the industry and on modern time attack cars. I think it works. But that said, anyone that would drive a B5 s4 on the street looking like this would be an absolute Cock.

Once again trying some ideas from modern time attack cars that have the front and rear spoilers really attached to the body of cars not just on body panels.

Put me down for a more oem + type kit that I know you could pull off expertly, even with exposed hardware if done right. This is awesome for a race car though.

I inititally did it for the increased cornering grip. Generally i'm pretty split on whether a body kit improves the look or not -- depends on the kit.

but if you look at SEMA and all these startup fender flare companies forming; bolt on flares is where it's at. That and scraping your oil pan on a pebble and using the fenders as a bumpstop against the tire -- all very in style.

I like the ricer look, as long as it is racer-ricer and form and function are in harmony.

And i'd totally drive that on the street. I'd have to park in the back of the lot and wait until nobody saw me get out, but i'd totally drive it. It's either your sons car or you modded it back in highschool.

And then go get some salt on it
There are only 2 things needed to make an Audi work properly - Duct tape and WD40. If it moves and it shouldn't - Duct tape. If it doesn’t move and it should - WD40.

You should consider the negative impact of scrub radius by increasing the track width so much on stock suspension mounting points. I only run 10mm spacers on a et25 wheel in the front of my k24 car and already have a noticeable amount of torque steer when accelerating. i cant even imagine what the setup your planning would do. Unless this is ment for "stance"
