I had this clicking noise that developed about 2 days ago and it was driving me a little nuts because I couldn't figure out what it was for the longest time. The front end would click when I went over a bump, sometimes it would click when the rear end goes over a bump, and it even made some noises while making slow turns. Weight transferring from side to side? It doesn't click all the time like an outer cv joint (fixed that on my Passat last year) going but it was driving me nuts!

Did the usual checking of my outer tie rod end, upper, and lower control arms but they were all nice and tight. Finally had time today and I took off the front sway bar end links and bam! The bushing on the lower side of the end link was trashed and that's what was causing the clicking sound when I went over bumps. Hopefully this helps someone out there!
