Looking for a Great Lease Deal

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
OK... End of the month approaching and I'm looking to pull the trigger on a '16 S4 lease this weekend.

My preference is $0 down, 10k/year for a term of 36 mos. Hoping to land somewhere <$600 per month, payment wise. You think it's doable? I'm aware that to get anywhere near that, the selling price of the vehicle would have to be AGGRESSIVELY discounted. And, dealer would have to be somewhat desperate to move vehicles. However, with the current money factor sitting at .00064 (1.5%) and residual at 56%, this might not be an impossibility. The impending arrival of the new A4/S4's might also be an incentive for dealers to start shedding the '16 models...

What say you? Any tips or insight to share to aid me in my quest?

    Thanks in advance.

That would be a hell of a deal. You might have to wait until the new models are on the floor though. Good luck.

Assuming you are talking base Premium Plus? Even leaving out any sales tax, I can't get you under $650. That's assuming a sales price of $49,000, which I think is pretty aggressive.

I'd venture you'll need decent $$ down and/or attractive trade vehicle to meet your criteria. Most stealerships will only entertain lease haggling when there's cash on the table to cover their costs.

Cross shop and cross-negotiate as many dealers as you can manage. Happy shopping!

You would have to wait until around April/May when the 17 ordering opens up. I got my lease deal for 590 in June of 14 on a new 14 model that had a msrp of 57K and I put money down to cover the taxes only. I got the price of the car down to 48K plus taxes. I had to put down 6K for taxes since my state is lame for taxes and they charge you tax on the full amount of the car no just the lease portion

Audi is notoriously bad on leasing and good lease deals are defiantly not the norm. When I bought my '14 I looked into leasing just wasn't all that great so I ended up buying it instead.

That is absolutely impossible. The absolute cheapest model, with no options, would probably be closer to $700/month.

I don't think you're that far off. I pay $620 with CA tax ($575 pretax), 12k miles a year. I put down $2k, which included the first payment. MSRP $55k.
Like Chaos mentioned, this deal came later like in June.

How is tax 6k on 48k car? Tax is 6% here so it would be 2800 or so.

That might be doable on a left over '15 model some of these dealerships might have. It's the same as the '16 and I'm sure they'll discount those cares very heavily. Might be worth looking into

Audi is difficult car to lease as AUDI does not subsidize lease deals. I asked about lease numbers and was told by dealer buy outright as there are no deals on S4

I think it's doable with incentives and msds. Where are you located?
Edit: I missed the "this weekend".. You need to leverage an incentive program, not sure when the next one is. I did mine in December '14.

I leased my 2015 in April. My car is basic-it is a premium plus with sport diff, B&O, DSG, and Sepang paint. I pay $648/month, $0 down, 36/12k. I leased at the Audi Exchange in Highland Park, but pay Wisconsin 5.5% tax, so payment is $612/mo pretax.

The reality is that Audi does not subsidize their leases like BMW and other luxury cars do. In many cases the residuals are set so low that the cars actually have equity as a trade in at lease end. You best bet is to wait until the B9 s4 comes out. Although if you have any interest in a 6MT car, you need to act fast. Autotrader.com lists 22 MT cars left in the entire country. BTW, these S4s have been in high demand both new and used. Don't expect any dealer to be trying to get rid of them before the B9 is available.

FYI, it is really hard to take over an Audi lease. AFS makes you jump through rings of fire. Original leaser's name stays on the lease as well.
