It would depend on the width.

Anything narrower than a 10" wheel with that offset will clear the front suspension, and that offset in pretty much any width would clear the fender. The stock 18x8" wheels are ET47 for reference, and have plenty of room on both sides.

Maybe you think the fitment thread is nonsense, but the answer is there, and if you can't find it, it's probably the best place to ask this question.

I just test fit an 18x9.5 et45 on my car. Extremely close on the inner suspension. I wouldn't go wider than that with a 45 offset.

Was that the RPF1? If so, how was the brake clearance?

You should have another 3-4mm of clearance on the inside, but yeah, it's getting close.

It was the rpf1s! I stupidly didn't test the rear fitment although maybe you can comment on the relatice suspension clearance between the front and rear.

There was ample room for the stock brakes. Now to get a set drilled to 5x112...

The rear should be fine. Let us know how it works out once they are redrilled. Looks good so far.

Thanks for the reassurance!! I'll have everything together by the end of next week. I'll be starting with 235/40/18 Nokian Hakapelliitas for winter autocross. Then switching to 275/35/18 RE-71r's for summer autox. That will be the real test of clearance.

Will post pics as soon as I get them on!

Nice. Looking forward to seeing the RE-71's. That will definitely be aggressive on both sides.

Well, I can confirm that the fronts fit great, and I should have checked rear brake clearance...oh well, at least they're lighter now!!

I'm going to grind the caliper down a bit. Don't want to remove more material from the wheels than necessary; and certainly don't want to risk lugs coming loose!

On the plus side, they sit quite far in from the fenders, which will be perfect for getting some 275s crammed in there. These pics are with 235/40/18 Nokian Hakkapeliittas. RE-71s to come in a month or so.

And the redrill is hardly noticeable:

Looks like just a standard load tire too and not XL. I'm interested to see how that holds up at autocross. With such a heavy car I try to get the stiffest side walked tires I can. I think Bridgestone have a reputation for heavy tires because the sidewall construction. It probably holds true for their SL tires too.

I have a set of RE-11's going on in a few months.

Nice. I'm also interested in how the RE-71's hold up. Are you only going to use them at the track?

Yes, these will be autocross and track only. I ran RE71s last year in 255 35 19. They held up amazing. I got well over 130 autocross runs and a huge lapping weekend out of them (100 mins of track time), plus about 500 miles of road driving when I was too lazy to switch back after a couple events. There was literally nothing left of them at the end.

Tried them on today without SPC control arms. Slight rubbing in the back on the right side on the fender liner. May lift it up a touch or try to jam the fender liner in. Front rubs only with the wheels turned quite a bit with the suspension loaded up.

Jbullin - Can you share where in the front you are rubbing when the wheels are turned? Is it on the fender lip or fender clip? Have you done any fender work? Specifically, did you remove the front fender clips and/or do any rolling? Any issue with the rear fender nub, where it meets the bumper? Can you share your alignment specs?

I just ordered some 19x9.5 ET45 wheels with 275/35/19 tires, and I'm trying to learn what to prepare for. Thanks!

The rubbing is where the fender clip used to be. RE-71s run wide, so I was rubbing all last racing season on the stock Rotors with 255/35/19s on. When they were new, I was rubbing on the fender screw. They rubbed away all the plastic around the screw, so I removed it. It still rubbed on the inner fender in that screw area (towards the rear of the arch) for a little while and eventually subsided as the tires wore down.

    A quick update:

I raised the rear up a quarter inch (was set ALL the way down on the PSS10s) and adjusted the camber as far in as the cam would let me, and there is now ZERO rubbing in the rear. I installed SPC control arms in the front and turned each turnbuckle exactly 3 turns shorter than stock length (so 6 threads total since the turnbuckle adjusts each end at the same time). I now have ZERO rubbing in the front. I haven't gotten a formal alignment yet, but I measured with an inclinometer a little over 3° all around. I will report back what it actually was when I take it in for alignment.

The results? This setup is fantastic! I couldn't be happier with them!! There is so much more grip than the old 255s, and the PSS10s are a joy! I absolutely annihilated the competition at the "Winter" Autocross held at Road America a couple weekends ago. I went out with the PSS10s set all the way to 10, and after skipping over some of the undulations in the pavement transitions, turned them down to 7 for the afternoon session and had perfect grip the whole time.
