    Evening all.

I have a Audi A4 saloon on a 05 plate and I'm having issues with the boot interior light not working.

Whwn am I open the boot the car DIS will flash for a second to show the boot has opened but them goes and and thinks it's shut, not only this but when the boot lid is open, the power to the number plate lights and the lights on the boot lid go off and the DIS comes up with warning messages showing the rear left and right fog lights are out.

Any ideas as its doing my head in now?

Where is it located mate? Does the whole latch have to be replaced?

It is located near the latch, and the switch is sold separate. Part # 8E0953236

Thanks crazy. Does it work to lock the boot as in its part of the latch itself or standalone?

Crazy that comes up as the unit for the bonnet/hood not the boot!

I'm sorry I must have read the post wrong. I was thinking you were talking about the hood the whole time. I'm not sure if the boot has a separate switch or not. It looks to me like it's part of the latch part # 4F5827505D. But i am not 100% sure on that. Sorry for posting the wrong part before. I was tired this morning when I posted that.
