    Hi,
Tuesday morning I went to start my car, and coolant warning light came on between gauge clusters. Shut car off checked engine bay and coolant tank was bone dry
I checked coolant and oil 5 days earlier, we got 2 foot snow storm. Coolant tank was full. Drove car Friday it was fine, my girlfriend moved car during snowstorm (without asking ) drove home monday, car was perfect.

I had timing belt valve covers, coolant flush, new tank put in, thermostat, and housing and alternator done 4 months ago.
Got coolant filled up 60/40 ratio, waited 5 minutes started car. Exhaust smell was strong, after running for 3 minutes smelled like a rubber burning smell from rear passenger side of engine, and noticed a light smoke. Shut engine off and haven't started car since.

    Anyone ever had this problem?
Any thoughts where to start looking, or what possibly could be?
There was no coolant under car Monday or Tuesday, and don't smell burning coolant smell. I'm lost....
    thank yout in advance.

That's the problem with remote diagnosis, I can think of several issues that could have caused it but no way to be sure. E.g, deep snow packed into the front and blocked the radiator, engine overheated and puked its fluid somewhere along the way. Pull the dipstick and make sure its not ingesting it.

Just had similar issue, there's definitely a leak somewhere- I know the lower radiator hose is prone to failure/ leaking.
In my case my radiator was cracked by the lower radiator hose that's stupid expensive.

S2 had a jammed stat. Did a full drain and fill before the cold snap, or so I thought. After standing a few days bottom rad hose froze solid and cracked stat housing. Sadly I didnt realise till I lost the head gasket.
