    Hello my B8 comes with the basic oem non led xenon headlights, i was thinking of purchasing some OEM Xenon Headlights online somewhere, would it be possible for my B8 to upgrade to them if I buy a pair of the OEM Xenonn Led headlights? Also does anyone recommend a site I can purchase them from ? I was thinking eBay lol

    Yes, it is very straightforward and well-documented for the B8. B8.5s are possible but more involved/less well documented.

    Here's a lengthy thread on it:

    http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...rsion-Complete

    You need these three things:

    https://www.ecstuning.com/Audi-B8_A4...ghts/ES2500754

    http://www.hidconcept.com/d3s-oem-mi...ol-hid-system/

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Xenon-Bi-Xen...259?rmvSB=true

    And the coding you'll need to change with a VAGCOM is:

    Halogen to bixenon:

    09 – Cent. Elect.]
    [Coding - 07] -> Long Coding Helper

    Byte 0: From 69 → 26 = change from halogen to xenon bulbs
    Byte 2: From 00 → 10 = enable LED DRL
    Byte 14: From 7F → 1D = bi-xenon high-beams
    Byte 15: From 5F → 0D = bi-xenon high-beams

    LED brightness:

    [09 – Cent. Elect.] [Security Access - 16] (enter security code. One of the default codes is- 20113)
    [Adaptation - 10] -> Channel 3
    Set between 5 and 100 (set to 30 to avoid error messages)

    I have my DRL setting at 35..... no issues. I think if you set it below 9 is when errors start getting thrown.

    Below 30 will throw an error, IIRC. 9 is default and threw an error for myself and @booost.

    The d3s control system second link is needed aswell?? Also is the ECS headlamps preferred/better over the regular OEM ones?

    Just easier and more reliable. If you can find a set cheaper, go for it. The ECS set is also "ecode" headlights which don't have the amber reflector and are therefore more desirable. And yes you need everything shown in that second link, it comes with: bulbs, ballasts, LED controllers, and wiring (the ECS units are wired, some others aren't). Sounds like B6hate4 has a full setup that you may be able to score more cheaply though.
