TPMS Light

Hey All - I have had an issue to my tire pressure light.... I have tried everything I could think of to try and get rid of it....which leads me to believe its a tire pressure sensor that's messed up.

I am thinking of just disabling the entire thing through vagcom. Does anyone have one and knows how to do that? (either to disable TPMS or to use vagcom to find out what tire it is?.. my place wants to charge $50 to diagnose and then another 150 for new sensor)

Im in the Westla / Santa monica area but an willing to drive.

What model do you have? On some newer models, there is no TPMS sensor - the setting is measured through rotational differences at the hubs. Which can be set and reset through the MMI.

You're certain you don't actually have a leaky tire/wheel, right?

I am up in Simi and have a vagcom.. Not sure about disabling the error but I can at least help scan it for you.

Yea its for a B7 A4 2.0T. I might take you up on that because I work right in the Valley off topanga

If this is for a B7, I would guess that the sensors are just old and need to be replaced. Unfortunately for this type of TPMS (individual in wheel sensor), they have a finite service life around 7 years depending on mileage and the batteries are not replaceable. You're best to just get rid of them.

Yeah I was able to disable with Vagcom for him.
