    Question about 2002 sport suspension

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I am the original owner of a 2002 A4 1.8T Quattro sport suspension. My control arms in the front are shot and also the dampers seem to be at the end of their life (180,000 miles). Does it make sense that it is time to replace them? Front and back. I might just do the the rear control arms (bushings) while I am at it.
My issue is that the 2002 sport suspension is unique and the only year the sport suspension was this low. Is that defined by the damper? Or by the spring? I just want to keep it stock (2002 sport suspension).
Been doing a lot of work on the car and will again tomorrow => 3 rd time that I will replace coolant flange and failed again like clock work at 60,000 mile!?
    Thanks!

The ride height is lower because of the spring. I recommend the Koni FSD dampers for your car. I was very happy with them on my 02 sport. 180,000 miles it is time for a refresh.

Thumbs up for FSDs from me as well. I have them paired with Eibach springs, which is a great combo in summer, not so much in winter.
I would almost be interested in finding another spring that would suit the FSDs, but raise the ride height. I might just go back to oem sport springs.
