I would, depending on the details. I get out to Chicago every few months and would enjoy making a trip for a VW/Audi meet.

Might check if you guys have C&C out there as that's another good way to connect.

I know they have cars and coffee at Starbucks in Vernon hills every Sunday guess they will be out when it gets warmer. I doubt there is none in Chicago.

There is a C&C, it is in Vernon Hills ever weekend. There is no Chicago meet. I live in Wicker Park and drive to meet the guys in Vernon Hills pretty much every week during the summer.

We have a chat on groupme that I can invite you too. Some of the group has moved on from Audi though recently.

Theres a Whole Foods parking lot in the South loop I think would be good. As long as you buy something from the shops, parking is free for 1:30 hrs.

There's a Panera and a bunch of shops inside that will validate. And there's plenty of parking on the very top with a clear view of the Sears Tower. If we do it on a Sunday morning, we can cruise down Lake Shore Drive since it wont be so busy.

I'm actually looking for some good roads to drive on around here if anyone has a suggestion.

I suppose the first step is to see who all are interested in meeting up inside the city. We should also decide if we want to wait until the weather gets around the 40s-50s?

Hey Jonathan - Welcome to Chicago! Make sure to avoid the South Side of Chicago. Anything South of Chinatown can get really rough. If you're looking to live in the city, try staying near the Loop (West Loop or South Loop are nice). The Suburbs can be more affordable and offer more estate for the buck. Lakeview, Lincoln Park, Evanston, Oak Park are nice mix of suburb/city life. Northwest Suburbs are usually where people go once they have a kid to raise.

I guess you notice every weekend there's alot of import and domestic dudes running around there at night? I drove there off work always saw alot of imports. It would be nice to have meet when weather is warmer.

I think we're all talking about the same place, but here's the address:

Theres a 3 Floor garage at this shopping center. The top floor, usually has plenty of space and a direct view of the Sears Tower. Theres a WholeFoods, Panera Bread, Marshalls, etc located here. Parking is free with validation for 1.5 hrs.

Ive been wanting to check that place out, but didn't know when people met. It's also so far out there...

What roads are you driving on thats so rough? I frequently use State Street, Wabash, Michigan Ave, and Lake Shore Drive and the roads are beautiful this year. Especially since this winter was very mild.

Maybe invest in aluminum skid pad so it won't damage again. I had my plastic belly pan ripped off on last winter and I don't feel comfortable to have my belly naked and do damage. So I installed panzer aluminum skid pad.

Yeah I'm fine with that as well, I'm definitely interested. Thinking waiting on the weather a bit would be ideal. Hopefully til the roads aren't as salty as well. A city Cars and Coffee type event might be a good start?

I am looking for some input in planning a Starved Rock Park Run. Starved Rock Park was created by a catastrophic pre-historic flood 15,000 years ago and has unique geology that is rare for the Midwestern plains. It has beautiful canyons carved in sandstone and several waterfalls that freeze in the wintertime. I have seen plenty of white pelicans and bald eagles that migrate yearly.

- Would starting in Joliet be an issue? Any suggestions?
- How long a run do you prefer? We can make one as long as 320 miles or as short as 145 miles round trip, or you can return at your leisure.

Most roads on the itinerary have very low traffic, beautiful scenery, interesting features along the way, most have curves and changes in elevation, most are not patrolled. Individuals can choose an overnight stay at Starved Rock Lodge or Grand Bear Resort. Besides, gas is cheapest in this area.
