Phoenix area shops

Was wondering if anyone could recommend a performance shop in the Phoenix area. I'm looking to get my stage 2 pulley installed and in the near future installing a new clutch and lightweight flywheel.

What part of town do you plan on visiting? There are plenty of shops to choose from...

I live in Blythe, ca so I'd prefer whichever location is farthest west. But if there's only one shop that people recommend in east flagstaff I'd have no problem driving out there. I'm guessing there's nothing in Buckeye?

Nothing in buckeye, you have to venture to Phoenix, Scottsdale or Gilbert/Mesa area.

I would avoid Exklusiv. I had control arms done there and they left them with a lower bolt that was hitting and damaging the control arm and I specifically asked them before doing the work if they tightened all the bolts while under load. They said yes of course. Well I got home and drove it up on ramps to find that they didn't tighten them at all and were about to fall off and had to torque them all down myself. Communication with them is awful as well. They won't ever answer the phone. You have to either drive there or email. And email communications with them ends up just getting ignored. And if you have to ask for a quote for work and they tell you they'll work up a quote to get back to you, you won't hear from them again unless you keep driving back there. I just finally gave up and went somewhere else or started doing the work myself.

FWIW - if you call that number during business hours, a guy named Mike should answer. It's not the same one man band it use to be.

I had a similar experience myself with Exklusiv. I now go to parts score and couldn't be happier.

I've just purchased a few parts from there. Never had labor done except for a flash tune cause they gave high quotes.

Goodspeed was very responsive with communications though.

There's also tuning gruppe in Mesa.

I would recommend either Partscore or Goodspeed for your software upgrade. Leueur Car Company for any labor needed, like the actual pulley install or clutch work.

Goodspeed rocks and I hear good stuff about partscore but have never used 'em

They have been around quite some time. They definitely know what they are doing. When I was selling one of my Audis, the buyer wanted a buyer's inspection done there.

But I'm still a big fan of Lesueur. Not too much further from Tuning Gruppe, and in my opinion a more "professional" facility.
