I saw a lot of great built in this forum. Very inspiring!

Maybe we should gather all the info in one thread. Each one could list his car, the list of mods and where they buy it (a link would be usefull). The info could be updated as your project evolve.

This would be so usefull for newbies like me and a very great source of info.

Not a bad idea. Check out the A/S/RS5 section. I did several stickies in there. For consolidation, this is a pretty good idea, and then provide a link to build. That way this is not cluttered with pics.

I installed the Chipwerke Pro module on my TDI a few days ago and it makes a big difference in the throttle and power.
I haven't really done any other mods because it looks good the way it is.

Really need to see your SQ (though I'm in the 2.0T) as your list of mods sound good so far. I'm also fairly new to NVA so looking for reputable places to get "stuff" done. Especially looking to get a custom Magnaflow done as the wife came from an Infiniti FX35 and finds the Q5 just waaayy too quiet.

We really get boned over here in the states. No RS4/6, no new S4/6 avants, amber side markers, no cool tails like euro spec, 4x4 ride height on the SQ, etc. LOL! Boo hoo!

I wish I had the budget like some of you other guys do. I'm just getting crushed in the market and can't pull the trigger to do them all at once. Probably what happens when you're raised by two CPAs, engaged to one, and also one yourself.

Modification in moderation

Doing everything in 1 trip is cool but then the fun is over. I enjoy doing one mod at a time b/c its easier to realize changes and leaves opportunity for more.

I did that already with the 5.75 year A5 build. This is much better. All out, drive for a year or two, repeat.

I'd much rather do it all over the next 12-18 months, but I just don't have the income or discounts to justify it.

Maybe after I get married I'll have more money to mod/play. Good news is the GF is also into cars so she won't be fighting spending $$ on them.

Mops has amazing hookups on wheels... whatever you do i would get a price from him before buying. might be able to get you into the 10k club easier than you think.

Also, my local buddy has a set of P40SCs for sale 20x10et30 if you are interested shoot me a PM. they have R888's on them with 90% tread left. I almost bought them from him but decided i wanted to go 3pc.

Yeah, I'll definitely hit him up. For now though, I can't think about them. Haha. Out of sight, out of mind.

Noticed both of you guys only had PPF on the bumper and headlights. Is that sufficient enough? Any chips on the hood/fenders? I'm contemplating whether to get the 2" strip, but afraid that I may not like the edge.

I've got chips about 6-8" up my hood and on the front fenders.

I was quoted $2K-ish for the whole front with xpel, but thought it was too much. Definitely would have helped a lot. Oh well.

Yea i have at least 4-5 pen tip size chips in my hood. A little touch up though, and they're hardly noticeable.

This is the reason why I did my full front AND the doors. I only did the front on my last Audi and sure enough I took a rock to the passenger door. I'm going to get my money's worth out of this wrap and then have the whole car wrapped in XPEL Stealth.

Of course quoting is eff'ed up...

I'll never do more than the bumper cover and lamps. I like being able to play with my paintwork. And the bumper is so busy, you'd never see the texture or any seams/cuts. Plus living in the NC foothills where there is little traffic, I'm not at much risk. So far after 7 months, only one tiny chip on the hood, and I filled and sanded. Much rather do that a few times over a couple year term than have the PPF up there. Obviously not a huge fan of PPF, but I much rather have it on the cover than not. I will say, If I dd'ed mine in a high traffic area, had a commute etc, I'd do the hood.
