I just did this to my A4 2014 also without MMI/Nav. The easiest way is to buy a AudioControl LC2i and use the wires going into the rear sub (underside of the rear deck there are a brown and tan wire going into the factory sub. Disconnect the subwoofer and use a wire tap for the new speaker wire. I had to call AudioControl on this but you only need to splice the factory sub wires into the left channel input and use the Bass output RCA channel for your amp (make sure the LC2i is set to "GTO Enable"). Also, the LC2i does not need a remote in (optional) but will still give you a remote out if you need it for your sub amp. As for the amp connection, the battery is in the trunk so tap into the positive (disconnect the negative first) one one of the bolts on top and if you look next to the factory amp (left side of trunk) there is a negative bolt that you can access and ground your sub and LC2i next to the factory ground. I highly recommend using a distribution block since the LC2i will require much smaller power and ground wires than your amp and it will make everything cleaner.

While all of this was a significant improvement in bass, I am about to (after much research) completely redo the entire audio system. My goal (since the car is a lease) is to bypass the factory stereo, amp and speakers (only the front door speakers will be replaced). My factory system will serve only for phone calls while my iPhone will be the source unit for audio and navigation. Since this will bypass the factory system it should work for MMI and B&O systems. I plan to start on this in the upcoming weeks. If you guys have any interest I will post pics of the project.
