    Spacer Question

I have a quick spacer question. Currently running HR spacers 15/20 f/r. I do get some slight rubbing on the rears with the 20mm so thinking of picking up some 15mms for the rear. Im using 43mm length bolts for the front and 48mm length for the rears.

Question is if I drop down to 15mms on the rear can I reuse the 48mm bolts or do I need to order another set of 43mm length? Im not sure what kind of tolerance I have to play around with on the wheels/spacers/hub, will the 5mm longer bolt work ok?

    Thanks

I dont have an exact answer for you, but here is how you can find out:

    1) take your wheel & spacer off
    2) thread your 48mm bolt all the way in
    3) measure the length of threads sticking out
    4) remove bolt and now put it through your spacer and wheel
    5) measure the length of thread sticking out
    6) add the 2 numbers from 3 & 5, if it is shorter than the thread length, you're good to go.

If you've got 15s in the front then just put one on the rear with the longer bolts and try it out for yourself. Shouldn't take more than a few minutes.

5mm too long of bolts in the rear may cause rubbing behind the hub. as posted above just try it out first
