Roc Euro installed with a little personal touch

First et me start by saying John was great to deal with from start to finish and he knows his shit. I came from the AWE intake which was cool and looked great but even with the holes drilled I couldn't really hear much. I do have Milltek catless bypass pipes and full exhaust, center silencer but that's it, so needless to say I have a pretty loud setup. I did hear the AWE but not as much as I was hoping for.

I bought the kit in raw form because I wanted to do some polish work in the intake pipes so I would have a different look from others. I brought them to a high polish then applied a sealant to protect them, not a painted clear finish which to me always yellows.

I installed the intake in about 10 minutes, extremely simple. I haven't had a chance to really get on the car yet but even the slightest turbo spool gives the exact sound I was looking for. I can hear my turbos doing their thing and when coming off the throttle they have a great little release sound, nothing like an annoying blowoff valve that spits air at you.

I'll report back when I get to play with it a bit more but needless to say I'm a happy customer with another great product from John.

Nice mod, but weren't you supposed to leave the front part of the stock air intake installed, to redirect the incoming air to the filters?

Also, can you please tell me what holds the stock air filter box in. Are there any screws or does it just sit in grommets?

If you're referring to the factory piece that is right above the passenger headlight then yes it's back in place. You may be referring to something different since you're in an RS7, I'm in a S6

No this is exactly what I am referring to. The air scoop. It is the same for the s6/7 and the rs7.

Looks great. I bought the USP intake rather than the AWE back in November when I picked up my car. It has a similar sound and feel. I must say though, I like the look of this intake better. Too late now, I would have reinvest the same cost all over again to swap.

The air box just sits in the grommets, no screws. The front part of the intake is installed.

Started with red 3M scotchbrite pad, then 600, 800, 1000 grit dry paper. 1500, 2000, 2500 wet sand, then a buff wheel on a handheld drill with white rouge. Blue magic metal polish then degreased with Dawn dish soap to remove the chemicals. I use a sealant from Chemical guys called Jet seal, wipe on and let it bond for 20 minutes or longer, then wipe off and you're done.

I'll try and get a video tomorrow, def do the Roc Euro, I replaced my AWE with this. AWE is cool looking but this outperforms it without a doubt.

I have the same motor in my S4 and run the Roc in it as well, don't hesitate to buy it.

Just mid and rear. I wanted people to hear me, but not have it sound too loud. I've got a full exhaust on my S5 which sounds great, but I wanted the S7 to be more refined and since DP give performance and exhaust really doesn't for this car, I chose the hybrid. I will say that being in a parking lot and giving it a little gas for the intake to breathe sounds amazing and everyone looks over like you're driving in Darth Vader. You wouldn't notice it if all you could hear was your exhaust.

You should be able to get everything other than the Jet Seal which is only sold by Chemical guys on their website. If you can't find the higher grit sandpaper then you'll have to go somewhere that sells automotive supplies.
