Hey everyone,
Last year when fixing my PCV lines and pulling my intake manifold, I broke the plastic connector (go figure) that connects the large vacuum line to the brake booster. To fix this, I installed a brass (only thing I could find) fitting and then clamped both sides. This works while the car is running, but when I go to start my car, I press the clutch and if I dont stand on the brake pedal, the car rolls. I strongly believe its due to the plastic connector i broke. Does it contain some sort of check valve to keep the vacuum in the booster? The only other thing I think it could be could be the o ring on the master cylidner. The brake pedal is also rock hard when I turn the car off, telling me there is no vacuum in the booster any more.
Heres the hose and a picture of what I am talking about.
