034, Eurocode and now ECS... Hmmmmm

Looks like this one uses a different material (polyurethane) than the billet aluminum used by 034 and Eurocode.

I ordered the Eurocode ones over Black Friday however haven't installed them yet. I've heard that some experience cabin noise at certain speeds, and it looks like ECS says this doesn't happen with theirs. Can other respond with feedback on this?

Since our bushing has no direct metal to metal contact, we were able to make sure that noise and vibrations associated with such install is kept to a minimum over running a solid metal insert which can transfer increased NVH over factory.

Appreciate all the feedback on the video! It definitely speaks for itself that's for sure!

Added to the list of things to order from ECS after tax return. Good stuff. I ran poly engine mounts in previous cars and got a bit of vibration but nothing over-whelming. Cant wait to buy this

I am 100% liking the idea of a Poly insert for the diff mount (happy for billet with the transmission though). Seems like it will address a lot of the complaints about the existing product offerings.

One request - do you ever foresee a "stealth" offering without the big ECS logo on the side? That's one of the reasons I went with the Eurocode transmission insert. Simple anodized black. It's not going to stand out during a quick general inspection.

It will indeed be complaint for harsh winters.

Not likely. A diff mount shouldn't cause any alarm during an inspection anyways.

Are you developing a transmission insert to complete the set? If you are, is there a planned release date?

My mistake missed that question. Yes we plan to offer a trans mount as well. I do not have a concrete date of release.

Thanks. I was going to purchase the complete set from Eurocode this week. Maybe I'll hold off for a little while until there is a release date for your transmission insert.

Do these make you void your warranty in any way?! I see they have the ECS symbol so they can be easily spotted.

I can't see these causing any issues with warranty. It would be no different than someone installing lowering springs or coilovers. I've never heard of any issues regarding suspension mods voiding warranties.

As of right now we do not have anything planned that I am aware of. Subscribing to our news letter is the best way to stay up to date on future announcements.

Very interested. I was running the 043 inserts and the noise drove me nuts - ended up pulling them out...
I'll give these a try and report back..

    Ordered... hopefully they work out...

When did you buy the 034 mounts? I heard that they were redesigned for less NVH issues.

Oh wow. That's almost double the TQ figures suggested by 034 for their inserts. Any reason for that?? I know yours is not metal but wow... 70ft lbs/lbs vs 40ft/lbs is quite a difference. Wonder if that's why I was getting vibration noise with theirs??

BTW - I received them yesterday.
The red Polyurethane insert is very soft & pliable. Feels like rubber. I'll install them this afternoon... but so far my hopes are high that the elevated noise I was getting with the metal 034 inserts will be a non issue with these given how soft they are.
Still a bit confused about the much higher TQ recommendation but I'll go with the 70ft/lbs and see how she does... I actually think 70 is the same as the stock specs...

The specs we list are the OEM specs. Which is what we recommend for our mounts.

I guess given they are rubber it makes sense.

    Sounds good!

Also so others are aware these are not "Rubber" the rears are polyurethane which are 80A durometer.

Alright... Installed and have driven about 40 min including highway and traffic... side streets etc... good mix

The install.. it's a bit more of a PITA vs the 034 install due to less room because the polyurethane backing with the metal plate sticks out further (which is why this kit requires a longer bolt)... I had to also borrow a low profile tq wrench from a friend because the one I used last time would not fit... not a huge deal but figured I'd mention it.

Performance... I'd say they feel about the same as the 034 inserts. That transmission "bounce" when picking up 1st gear is significantly reduced if not eliminated. 1=>2 shift no "bounce" at all... rest of up shifts are immediate and direct. down shifts are immediate with no "bounce". Throttle response is improved. The car just has more immediacy. Nice improvement...

Noise... I still am getting drivetrain noise with these... but I'd say it's 1/4 => 1/3 the sound level as I was getting with the 034 which is acceptable for me for now. With the radio off I can hear it at 60 & 80mph but most would probably dismiss it as normal or tire noise. Even with no inserts at all I can hear drivetrain noise at 80mph so even in OEM config it's not completely gone... So far it's a manageable level and I am going to keep these in.

Great video showing how much movement is actually happening, as soon as the lucky loonie bounces back a tad I'll definitely be picking a set up....or if the summer comes first...

    Wicked pricing too

    Thanks for the review!

We have another customer stating no drivetrain noise when he installed our mounts on his RS5. Likely the noise you're experiencing is something else if its present even with factory mounts.

Make sure you follow the directions as I removed both stock rear diff bolts at the same time.....Holy Shite what a PITA it was to try and catch the threading for the new mount bolts. Spent an hour slowly lifting and lowering the diff to try to thread the new ones in. Couldn't do it myself so definitely get another helper

Do the DSG cars see a similar improvement or is it more beneficial to the 6mt cars?
