No photos, but they are very easy to spot. You will literally see an upside down triangle pointing at the jack point; about 8" of the pinch weld will be exposed.

Pinch welds are the only recommended location.

It is recommended to use a pinch weld jack pad adaptor to preserve the structure and coating of the pinch weld. The most popular one I've seen in my searches is from PureMS.

I've been bad recently... I've been jacking it up on the high density foam that covers the pinch welds. Then I'll place my jack stands on the exposed pinch weld. There is just not enough space for me to jack it up and set a jack stand on the exposed pinch weld. You could buy a special jack/jack stand combo, but I'm too cheap for that. Surprisingly the high density foam rebounds back to it original shape and it acts to protect my pinch welds from getting all knackered up. You should try it out if you're feeling brave!

Do you know which all in one jack will work on S4? I searched online but all I found looked too high for a sedan/coupe.

I just had my wheels off this weekend for brake pads/rotors replacement. I use a hockey puck with a slot cut just deep enough to hold the pinch weld on top of the jack saddle. I place the jack at the very end of where the pinch weld begins, and that leaves just enough room to put my ECS Jackstand right next to it, still on the weld. I cut up an old all weather floor mat and use that to protect the weld from the jackstand.

    Hey guys,
I'm trying to rotate my tires front to back with my Harbor Freight jack and jackstands. I'm trying to use the 4 bottom pinch welds, but i don't have enough room to use a jack, then put stands underneath of them. How are you guys putting on jackstands?

I was using a hockey puck with groove cut into it for a while, but noticed on the last go-round that a crack had started to form in the puck, apparently from the crushing force of the pinch weld on the bottom of the groove. I've decided to bite the $25 bullet and order one of the PureMS jack pad adaptors and be done with it.

I bought the Pure MS Jack pad. Had no idea how massive and thick it was. My jack isn't "low profile" so with the pure ms jack pad on it i can't get it to clear the pinch weld. Waste of $20+ and shipping for me. My car is lowered on H&R OE's. I was disappointed. Jack fits with room to
Spare without the pure ms pad.

Probably should buy a new jack from harbor Freight eventually. Any recommendations?

This is what I use, pinch weld area with jack pad adapter. The adapter uses the pinch weld as the guide (deeper groove), and most of the load is distributed on the flat surface around the adapter (as to not crush the pinch weld). You're welcome.
