AC making a weird buzzing noise, any suggestions?

On my drive home today I noticed that the heater was making a weird buzzing noise. If I turned it off it stopped and if I increased the fan speed the sound was reduced or muffled by the fan noise. It sounded like it was coming from the center vented area or the passenger side of the car. I am not sure. What might this be?

if it is what i think it is then many Q7 have experienced it and it is a blower motor. it sounds as if something is stuck in a fan. like basecard in a bicycle spoke. the sound progresses with fan speed and goes away if you shut off the blower completely... correct?

Yep just like that! Drove to school today and the sound wasn't there. If it comes again I guess I'll book an appointment with the dealer.
