    Slight Dilemma...

I am in no way bored of my B7 A4, but I would like more power. I've been planning on getting a Stage 1 APR tune on my car, although about a month ago I got an error code saying low turbo pressure (I dont know the code # off the top of my head), but I haven't noticed any power loss. I took it to my mechanic and he replaced the diverter valve, and I am still getting the code. He said there is no problem if I continue to drive the car, although if I want to fix it I would either have to replace the turbo or do a rebuild.

Anyways the point I am trying to get to is, should I get the tune with the error code, or should I just fix the turbo and get the tune later on.

    Thanks,

Here's a quick pic of my car. Think I should plasti dip my rims anthracite grey and tint my windows?

I don't have any good info to input because I'm mostly a lurker and I learn about my car as it breaks lol. But I like the color of your car. My 98 Audi was the same color and I had 15% tints on mine. I called it the Doomship. ;D I say do the tints because it'll look really nice with your color combo.

Does your car have a diverter valve spacer, by chance?

My guess is an underboost code from a torn DV.

Edit: Just noticed DV already replaced. I should learn to read better.

The N75 valve/waste gate might be leaking the boost. Try and see if that is the issue

Definitely fix the turbo issue. Is there's a problem with your turbo, the Stage 1 tune will only cause its failure sooner. You have to get your stage 0 squared away before moving on to stage 1 mods. Good luck. First mod IMO would be to lower it. If your short on cash go with H&R springs with stock shocks. It will make much more of a visual difference then tint or plastidip wheels.

I just had my turbo rebuilt by borg warner for $300. Definitely get the windows tinted, leave the wheels unless getting professional painted, drop it on some lowering springs.

i got a code for low boost pressure once before and it was caused by a plugged up air filter. change the filter and see how it goes.

as for tunes, you can't go wrong with the stage 1. no need for any extra parts. i noticed the largest performance gains with the stage 1. i have 2+ now.
