:: ECS Tuning :: ECS Street Shield Aluminum Skid Plate | Audi B7 A4 2.0T

The belly pans provided for modern Audi’s have always appeared to be cost-cutting parts.
Many enthusiasts have chosen to run their cars without this protective cover entirely. This decision, however, ignores the unfortunate reality that the belly pan protects several critical engine and drivetrain components.

ECS has a much more sensible solution – The Street Shield Skid Plate features corrosion resistant, 4mm thick 5052 aluminum, offering complete engine undercarriage protection.

It will fit FWD vehicles with a manual transmission. We don't have a drop down on our site to select what transmission you have, which is why we outlined it with a note that says "*Does not fit front wheel drive models with CVT transmission"

    Thanks for the concern though.

We actually do not offer any specific discounts as we try to price our products as competitive as possible so everyone can take advantage of the same savings.

No different than if you were to take down your factory belly pan. It only weighs 14lbs.

When I had my Panzer plate on my B5 I found it easier to take that down then the plastic piece of shit Audi gives you. If this bellypan on my B7 ever gets destroyed I'd get another one for sure.

Looks cool, but who has $200+ to just bolt to the bottom of their car?
Maybe someone can buy one and make a template out of it for AZ users enjoyment.
    Sorry, just kidding.

I only got the Panzer one because an OEM one was $100+, so I bought one for about $100 more because I knew it would last the life of the car and I would not have to worry about the cheap plastic one breaking again.

When you look at it like that and if you are going to buy a new one. I would think a used one is the way to go----for like $50 or so.

I got one for Christmas, taking it off is easy. Without a lift, putting it back on can be difficult sometimes.

I bought one for my car right around the holidays. It might have been slightly discounted due to black friday sales. Seems like a nice quality piece.
