I read up on the pano roof service. Seems like a cleaning and lube with some special tool. I want to get the tool and try it myself.

Performed an oil change and replaced spark plugs today! Stage 2 EPL on 93oct file. Car is noticeably smoother at idle...guessing the spark plugs cleared that up.

I used LIQUI-MOLY 5W-40 Leichtlauf High Tech and also added a dip-stick since it seemed to be a recent topic of discussion.

Side note....I picked up a coil pack pulling tool to do this service and it made my life 100% easier. Highly recommend for the DIYer...

FYI your coolant level looks extremely low, maybe it's just bc you have your car on jack stands because of the oil change tho. Coilpack tool looks cool, how much and where did you buy it?

New spark plugs at 40k miles really smoothed out the idle and low-end for me, too. I used zip ties as loops/hooks to get the CPís our but I think Iím going to buy that tool for next time!

That's the nice thing about the A4/S4 and Q5/SQ5 sharing a lot of the same platform, a lot of my mods transferred over like the organizer. Such a simple yet useful thing.

Yea those coil pack pullers seem really useless at first glance but they really are super helpful pulling the coil packs.

$35 on eBay or ECS....just search Schwaben Coil Puller. Worth the investment; especially owning 3 VAG cars.

And yes, coolant is low. When I installed my pulley and moved the front clip into the service position, I forgot to re-attach the coolant overflow line and lost some. Topped off now.

Don't forget those handy little plastic door pockets!

    What are those?
They are plastic cups molded to fit inside the interior door handles, providing another place for junk to collect.
I got them on Amazon. They were only $14, but fit well.
Glad I remembered to get them out of the old SQ.
Actually, the best $14 mod you'll find.

When you say they fit in the handles, is that up by the switches, or do these fit down in the door pocket?

i'm just glad we made it home alive. but unfortunately, the weather was so bad that the first day was unskiable and the second, we spent all day digging out. that's the problem i'm finding with tahoe. when it snows too hard, you can't ski. when it doesn't snow enough, you don't want to go - like i'm goldilocks or something.
we're gonna give it another go this weekend. i just want to get a little bit of time on the snow before we trek out to whistler next wkend!
how was crested butte? i've always wanted to go to one of those off-the-beaten-path resorts to ski (like telluride, crested butte, etc.), but haven't made it out to any yet. i may look into snowcat skiing/snowboarding up in whistler next year.
