I did best offer and got it to 100, good luck! I think he just lays real carbon fiber over oem q5 housing because all the Audi data info was written on the inside and it had Audi logos exactly like my OEM.

    Mine are on route.

Do you have any pics of your car from a distance with carbon mirrors installed? Think this will be the pre cursor to doing BO conversion.

Awesome let me know when you get yours I can give you a heads up on install. Yeah dude I wrapped all my trim gloss blck and it changed my ride I also have a strange grey. It's called moonlight something and the blck contrast trim looks amazing and the Carbon is a similar color from afar. I'll take more picks tomorrow.

There's a lot of folks in Austin. You should have went to the state meet last year. You would have met some of them. Check the ACLS website. It covers the whole state and there are many activities in Austin. You can also contact Josh down there, @jflyntrr. He'll get you acclimated there and introduce you to others at one of the gatherings.

Busy month... traded in B6 A4 APR Stage 2+ for a 15 Q5 3.0T. Got EPL Stage 2 installed myself... Took the charger out and removed pulley without special tool... do NOT recommend that party! Thanks EPL! Purchased RSQ5 Grill from Amazon for $200. Installed Grill, Painted bumper support, Added 8 inches of wire to both center parking sensors to reroute and hide. Next up is 21x10 wheels with Accuair... Have to wait for more funds!

Spent 2 Hours detailing the interior of the old Q with the fiancee... man she is a good girl.

But fuck me... get a dog they said.

Of that 2 hours, I spent 1.5hrs vacuuming. Winter was way to long.

Use a rubber/latex glove to wipe the surfaces with the hair. Peels it right off and is way quicker than a vacuum.

I "Dynamat" the sq5 . Trunk, trunk lid and driver side doors done. Passenger side doors left for next weekend. Huge difference, the drone from my custom exhaust gone and B&O sound improved as well. Double win! Dynamat worth every penny!Dynamat.jpgsq5.jpg

I'm a huge believer in that stuff.
In my previous car I started with the front doors and the road noise went to the back then I did the rear doors then the trunk area. It was fun too do stages and really notice the improvements.

I added some to the front doors already in my SQ when I swapped the armrest for leather.

I think you can go overboard with too much, but now I think I'll do some in the trunk area and or the fender area

Trunk and doors it ie enough for me. No need to add extra weight on top of what it is need it .Doing fenders won't make any noticible diffrence as road noise it was never a issue. Sound system wise trunk and doors it is a must! Also, the door closing sound got better as well

I totally agree the doors sound way more solid with dynamat. I'm doing my trunk and fenders next.

Interesting, the Dyson with the pet attachment mini power brush makes quick work of the carpet... but there was literally another carpet of hair on top, left it way to long. I should have taken pictures. The hard surfaces with a microfiber isn't bad either.

But the headliner was a pain, so definitely will have to try the glove trick.

Would you mind sharing shop info for the wrap work? I'd like to get my B pillars done - keeping them swirl-free is impossible.

I have complete instrument cluster envy. Sidebar...curious if VCDS coding is available to display which gear you're in?

For that matter, I have traffic jam assist envy. My hillbilly version (AKA slap the shifter to go into Sport Mode) is a nice workaround, but these days it seems like 100% of my driving is in loaded traffic.

Would you mind sharing shop info for the wrap work? I'd like to get my B pillars done - keeping them swirl-free is impossible.
Thanks Jerry! My wrap shop is Vinyl Styles in San Carlos. My buddy Lyle owns and does the work. He also did the stealth wrap on my RS5 if you saw that car. Itís actually on his website front page at the moment.

Noice! (I miss those guys.) Thanks for the info. Beautiful portfolio. I reached out on FB, and I might be able to steer a bit of business his way as well...

For that matter, I have traffic jam assist envy. My hillbilly version (AKA slap the shifter to go into Sport Mode) is a nice workaround, but these days it seems like 100% of my driving is in loaded traffic.
Yeah I feel so peasantish when I get back into my 2013 lol.

That was my method of traffic jam assist in the A3, manual mode constantly.

Copied Sport Line and did the dynamat in the battery cavity and trunk area. Definitely noticeable improvement. less road noise and possibly slightly better bass, but its still a weak sub.

It's nuts! I'm more than qualified, but I cannot either. They'll be perfect, and two months later look like shit. I feel like debris the in air swirls them lol.

Kind of a mixed bag really. I genuinely did not find it as fun to drive as my B8, but this one didn't have air or sport diff. Obviously mine is modded to my liking, so probably not a fair comparison, but it felt like an SUV. I greatly prefer the immediate throttle response in the B8 off the line and coming out of curves, but the B9 pulls hard once the turbo spools up. It FEELS faster in that regard, but I also felt like it was kind of a one trick pony that way. B9 also seemed more prone to down shift when heavy but not fully on the throttle. Surprisingly, I was pretty let down by the noise. Exhaust note, and serious burpage is pretty awesome. Engine sound was tiresome though. I suspect they just went overboard with the Soundaktor, and they missed with the noise that Soundaktor generates, but in dynamic mode it was pretty noisy in spirited town driving, particularly on downshifts. Cabin was noticeably louder than my Magnaflowed B8 with Soundaktor deactivated. Powertrain in general just didn't feel as refined as the B8. Inside, fit and finish was pretty spot on, yet it somehow just didn't feel as "nice", for lack of a better word, as the B8. It probably sounds like I liked it less than I actually did. I'm sure I'd be stoked on it if I had it, and mods would make a big difference, but I was pretty surprised that it didn't make me want it.

Ah-ha! That's the feeling I was trying to express. "It just didn't make me want it."
When I got the first SQ5 in '14, it wasn't really in my budget, but the salesman said "Go ahead and take it for a spin."
Holy shit! It sold itself. I was so impressed with it that it suddenly became within my budget and I ordered my first Audi.
The B9, in comparison, had nowhere near that effect on me.
When the salesman salesman said "Ready to trade up?" I bit my tongue and set "not yet."
