Keyless entry stopped working, read the car with OBD 11 and found out that rear right door sensor is not working properly. Ordered one from aliexpress forless than 10$.

Still thinking about ordering some parts from the US and waiting a month for them haha.

What did you do to your Q/SQ5 today?

Traded it in on a Mercedes Sprinter. Decided it was time to move on and invest in starting my business. It was definitely a fun 7 years of ownership but it was time to move on.

Observed this morning the little "oil can" icon light up on my instrument cluster, followed by warning that I could keep driving but should add "up to one quart of oil."

Upon arriving home I checked the real dipstick I bought (my Audi dealer claims none exists). If you know the part number get one.

Oil level was, as expected, perfect. Full.

When I closed the hood, the warning disappeared.

Currently dealing with oil compusmtion on my 2.0T and I'm trying to rule out the turbo/seals as being a possible culprit.

I'm wanting to check the intercooler/piping for signs of excessive oil build-up... Do I need to remove the bumper cover (i.e. service positon) in order to access the intercooler piping? Or can this be accessed from underneath the engine bay by simply removing the belly pan?

Love this car. Also hate this fking car replacing the supercharger intercoolers turned into “let me replace the pcv while I’m in there” I don’t want to break the coolant pipe so went to pop off the thermostat. + Service position and whole bunch other stuff. Ugh this Audi love hate relationship.

I’m about to do a few repairs and maintenance on my wife’s ‘14 Q5. I’ve collected the parts needed, but noticed the fuel injector seal kit that came with FCP Euro crank case breather kit is not OEM, but Erling. I’m finding highly mixed reviews. Does anyone have any experience using Erling seal on their 3,0t Q5?

First oil change since getting her, also changed out the cabin filter.
Used the OBD11 for the first time; although I’m happy I have a 1yr pro subscription and 100credits to do whatever VagCom augments to the SQ, I’m disappointed that if I make a change to whatever augment and then change it BACK OR if I ‘reset’ the oil service on my next oil change, it’ll cost me credits….like WTF?!?

You might want to consider Ross Tech VCDS. Far better product. Nothing else to buy, ever. Constantly updated and improved. Excellent free customer support, robust user forum.

Now that I have it, its not a BAD tool to have but I could've gotten a OBDII scanner from Advance Auto or O'Reillys for way cheaper and do the same thing but I wanted to have the "customization" 1-app thingy available. I have odd hours and my availability sucks to meet up friends/carFriends to help me with VAG-related issues so me purchasing this was out of convenience; I had originally read through some threads in the B8 S4 section and a few here in this section, didn't see any BAD reviews for the "customization" part but wish I saw more "you'lll have to use credits if you wanna change a few settings or 'reset' a service setting"

....plus I've used VCDS in the past on my B5 and B6 S4w and I have NOOOOOOOO idea wtf I'm reading half the time except fault codes.

if you only need to read fault codes, best option is always going to be a $10 cable from aliexpress and the free copy of vcds lite.

What did you do to your Q/SQ[emoji29] today?

New headlights, fog lights, alternator, valve cover gaskets and 1 step colder plugs!

It’s my daily driver. Been adding 700 per week to the odometer currently reading 185k miles. C. A. P. Test pipes, Stage 2 single pulley 034 tune since 104k. So far, just needed normal 3.0 maintenance and typical wear items replaced. Any idea how long these things hold together? Feel like I’m playing with fire…lol. Fingers crossed.

Rebuilding my parents 2011 Q5 as it likely has (couldn't verify with endoscope due to image quality) a burnt valve. All else fine, I've got upgraded pistons ready to go in as well. Starting with removing the engine. 2011, 235k miles, never had a carbon cleaning; very caked with carbon lol.

Ordered an awe touring exhaust and proceeded to snug one of my CAP test pipes —> manifold as there was a slight gap. Oiled the threads and took my time, but alas, I snapped the stud. Found out I have a leaking valve cover in the process. Definitely betrayed my wallet this weekend.

Yes, that is it. Dealer will tell you there is none. But, this is the correct length for the 3.0 TFSI B8 and B8.5.
