    2011 A4 Avant non- S line to S line rear bumper/ valence

My 2011 A4 Avant got rear-ended by a truck in Tahoe Saturday - hatch and rear bumper are done. Was wondering people's thoughts on taking this as an opportunity to put a S-line rear bumper/ exhaust valence on my non-S line wagon & if anyone had experience running this type of 'upgrade' past insurance?

    TIA

Insurance is only going to pay for the part numbers that come up per your VIN You can supply the sline part numbers to the body shop when repairs are done and pay the difference in price. I wouldn't even mention it to the insurance company just tell the guy at the body shop that is working with you. Sometimes insurance will just pay you directly unless you tell them you want the body shop paid and you can in turn use the money to buy the parts. A lot of times this is just a tactic by insurance companies because there can be hidden extra costs in body work that is discovered during the repair process that insurance won't have to pay if the person ends up not getting the work done. Which are known as supplements to a claim.
