Need Help Finding Part Number or Help Fixing Problem

So I just tried to replace the female MAF sensor harness connector and I ended up stripping one or two of the prongs that make connection to the MAF sensor. I was having trouble disconnecting the female connector and ended up breaking off the damn thing hoping not to damage the metal prongs.

Now I know I fucked up but I would like some help with finding out how to fix the connections. Idk if the harness is part of all of the engine connections.

I can't seem to find a single part that looks like what I broke.

Anyone know what I am talking about?

That is the MAF connector. Is that what you need?
Or do you mean you broke the female terminals inside the connector?

Not sure if that is the right terminal, but as an example of what you need.

So, the connectors that you insert into the female connector must have broken. It's the wiring not the female connector housing at all.

Ok, the metal terminal inside the connector is broken. Yeah those are pretty easy to replace. I had to do that to my coil pack connector when I broke it. As long as you have the release tool you are good to go.

Sorry, I am looking for the right terminal part number. I have somewhat of a DIY on fixing the wires that is similar at http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...=diy+coil+pack

If you see the fourth picture down with the big blue tool inserted into the connector, I am using the tool to insert on the front of the connector to release the terminal, once that tool is inserted you can remove the wire/terminal from the back of the connector. From there you can just strip the wire, crimp it to a new terminal, and insert it back into the good connector you already have. I bet if you check youtube for "Terminal Release Tool" you can probably see a good video on how to use it. Actually I just found a decent one at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DS4AKIoo07o

Thanks for the help so far. So how do I replace the pins? Those are the pieces that broke on me.

Oh, are the pins on the actual MAF sensor broken? Like in the picture https://c1552172.ssl.cf0.rackcdn.com/726650_x800.jpg
If that is the case, I think you have to replace the sensor.

No, the pins that go into the male connector. Not the actual MAF sensor. You gave me links on how to remove the pins from the coil pack connectors. So I need to fix the pins that go into those connectors but for the MAF sensor harness. Am I making any sense? Lol

Yes, you're making sense. So just use that terminal release tool on that MAF connector instead of the coil pack connector, remove the wire and terminal from the connector, crimp the new terminal on (the problem is finding out which one you need) and then push the new terminal into the MAF connector. You shouldn't have to run any new wires or anything unless the wire broke further away from the connector. I might go outside real quick and see if my tool works on that connector

Okay now where can I buy new pins? I think I cut 2 or 3 pins trying to remove the connector.

I just checked mine out, there were only 3 wires going to it. What I would do if I were you is buy a new connector (8K0973205) and call up ECS Tuning or another parts store and ask if they sell the terminals and weatherpaks that go inside it. I know ECS Tuning sells the correct connector and they do sell terminals, I just do not know if they sell the correct terminal. I can't find out what terminal needs to go into that connector.

I've taken a few more photos of the issue. Can someone tell me if I would be able to solder the pins back on to the piece it's originally on? Will that work or do I need to buy three new pins? If so, where can I buy them?

You can't solder the pins, you'll melt something before they stick, I've tried it. You're a lot better off replacing them and it's way less time.
I believe this is what you need:

Thanks. I was searching and figured that out. I was going to see if the dealership has some locally because I need to drive to work and can't wait for ECS to ship them out. I'm hoping I can find them somewhere local if not then I'll just have to wait.
