Our service provides the following assessment:

• Interior Overview:
We will assess the condition of the seats, headliner, seatbelts, the console, and electronics within the interior of the vehicle.

• Exterior Overview:
We take measurement of paint depth for the different panels of the vehicle to identify any re-painted panels (using a dedicated measuring instrument). Moreover, We assess the condition of the tires, brake wear, scratches, dents, etc.

• Trunk, Rear Storage:
It is one of the aspects of an inspection that are generally overlooked when inspecting a Vehicle, the condition of the spare and emergency Flat Tire Kit, which will be assessed during the inspections carried out by Used Car Inspection™.

• On Board Diagnostics (OBD) and CANBUS readout:
This assessment would uncover any freshly deleted CEL “Check Engine Light” Codes. Furthermore, a Vehicle with non-illuminated CEL does not always mean that it is operating at optimum condition; Some Codes are stored within the vehicles computer but would not trigger a CEL to illuminate. During the assessment, we will read out (using dedicated equipment) and register any codes that the vehicle’s computer might have stored.

• Test Drive:
During the inspection, we will provide an overview of the condition of the Engine, Transmission, Suspension, and steering alignment, and try to identify any noises that appear during the test drive. This includes, slipping clutch, slipping transmission. Brake fade/pulsation, front/rear axle noises, tie rods condition, etc.

• Engine Bay overview:
We will identify (to the best of our knowledge) any Leaks that might become apparent, FAN Belt condition, any pulley noises/wear, any newly replaced accessories/parts, condition of the engine/ transmission mounts, and may (if deemed required) carry out a Battery/Alternator Charging system functionality test.

You will be provided with the inspection sheet (bilingual, English & French) and any recommendations that we might provide such as, things that may need urgent servicing, Garages, specialty mechanic shops (for a certain brand of vehicles) in the Greater Montreal Region, etc.
