    Owners Manual for C5 S6??

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I'm trying to track down an owners manual for my 03 S6. I did find one on ebay for a UK 2000 S6.

I also found the thread where ricam78 posted the full scan of the 2001 allroad manual

I'm just curious if these are an impossible thing to find now, or if I'm just not looking in the right places. Thanks for any tips/insight you can share.

Shouldn't be impossible..though the S6 was fairly limited here in the US. I'd assume the dealer could even get you one. But honestly I don't think very much of it is specific to the S6, most of it is general normal C5 A6 stuff with a little 4.2 specific info in it.
Check the classifieds here for the few S6's that have been parted, might get lucky there. Or VWvortex / forums/ classifieds can have soem random lucky stuff there.

I look every now and then on ebay for one, never have found one. The regular A6 manual is close enough.

Thanks for the info. Since they aren't all that common, I went ahead and pulled the trigger on the UK manual. I'll keep an eye out for one from a USDM car if people are parting them out. I almost never use the manual for anything, but the car seems so empty without it :o)

I know this may sound a little dumb but did you check under the steering column? The PO of my S6 kept it in the slot under the steering wheel instead of the glove box.

Not dumb at all! I'll check that when I get home tonight.

Yeah you never know. I assumed mine was missing during purchase but the PO smiled and grabbed it from under the steering wheel. Not the usual place I would look for it. Crossing my fingers for you haha.

Am I the only one that finds it disconcerting that Audi felt the need to put the owner's manual within easy reach of the driver? lol....

Today bpark1210 wins the internet. I can't even tell you how embarrassed I am to not even know where the owners manual was placed in the car. That slot does seem like it was designed to hold the manuals. Mine was there, although the manual was actually for an allroad 2.7T. I do have the UK S6 manual coming in the mail. It even has a picture of the 6MT shifter on the cover....the way these cars should have come from the factory.

    Thanks for the tip!

Yeah the slot under the steering wheel is perfectly sized for the owners manual.
