    Im thinking of modding my AWE Res system...need opinions

    Tried searching google and the forums but didn't find anything.

    Wanted to see if anyone has done this or what the thoughts might be. My car is DSG so I would like to retain the little to no drone that the resonators produce now. Just want a little bit more growl. I also don't want any rasp introduced.

    Option A remove rear mufflers replace with straight pipes.
    Option B remove the center muffler replace with xpipe.

    If you remove the rears then you have the track exhaust. Plenty of sound clips for that.

    If you a DIYer, why not just remove the clamps that hold on the rear mufflers and test it out for a day?

    yeah it'll look odd, but you'll get the general idea of it as opposed to listening to sound clips all day.

    Agree. Looks like you have resonated DP in the photo as well. I'm running track with resonated DP on 3.0 with dsg. Only clip I have:

    Powderhound how bad is the drone with your setup? I don't really mind it but my wife might.

    Migo here's another vid I found on this. It compares Track+Resonated DP vs Touring+Un-Res DP

    In that video, it sounds like the track+res is actually quieter than the touring+non res
