I concur! Evidently you could on some cars make it so you could edit in it in VCDS from what I read. Others they were able to use a module... curious to see if someone has done it or ordered the module and also if there are any bulb out errors.

The semi sweeping effect is possible with specific models and regions or cars fitted with specific taillights.

The post-facelift avant models or cars with these retrofitted can plug and play these modules:

    Turn Signal Modules | Semi-Dynamic

However the B8 sedan cannot and the B8.5 facelift North American sedan cannot either as the NA taillights cannot separate it's turn signal and brake through coding properly. The only way is to retrofit the Rest of World B8.5 sedan taillights and then fit the modules:

    Taillight Packages | A4, S4 Post-Facelift LED (Sedan)

Kinda of pricey for a two step turn signal, but it is available.

As for the S3 video in that other thread, that is possible with coding because there are tons of options available with those taillights via Vagcom. Way more than we can do with the B8 and B8.5 taillights sadly.

    Cheers,

I would swap my lights for another pair lol... but yeah that is excessive... I need to look for those lights online? You don't happen to have the part numbers do you?

I need to talk to AudiAmant.de and see what they would charge to maybe do my lights. hmmm..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OwCE4d5zonc
