Hey all! My car is not starting. She's a 2012, base model, quattro, 65000kms, stage 2 unitronic with cts turbo turbo back & ecs boost gauge.

Car is not cranking at all, and battery looks fine, its brand new and everything electronic works fine.

    Please help!!

Also, and it really shouldn't be a thing, i left the seats down yesterday and when I got in this morning there was some condensation inside...

Sounds like a possible bad clutch switch. On top of the clutch pedal arm there should be one or two microswitches. You can see if they are adjusted properly. With a meter they should read closed when clutch is depressed.

    Car not starting!!!

Do you get a click of the starter solenoid along with dimming of interior lights?

    You should scan for codes.

I had a click, but no crank and it turned out to be a break in the main power harness to starter.

No, nothing like that. Just silence. Lights are not dimming, everything electric is good to go...

Aren't these essentially link fuses to keep the battery from short circuiting (during an accident for example)? Would be surprising to see one randomly fail without provocation.

There are no microswitches on the pedal mechanism, they are integrated into the clutch master cylinder.

So the next day the car started after two attempts. Brought it to the shop and the scan indicated a starter relay malfunction.

No idea wtf happened, but it works now. Thanks for the interest though!
