Went out to Lonestar Motorsports Park today. It's an IHRA sanctioned track that is owned by Hennesey.

They initially did a really good job prepping the track. It got pretty slick as the day went on without any re-prep.

    Best pass was 11.4072 @ 119.74 MPH

    Info:
EPL Stage 2+ E85 Double Pulley beta tune

Lonestar Motorsports Park also has a video of my first pass up on their FB page if anyone is interested. It was an 11.55 @ 118 without launch control.

Thank you to Tony@EPL for working with me on this great E85 tuning.
Thank you to jran76 and GRUMPY-S4 for all the help and advice.
And thanks to Primetime for the motivation to push the car further and make the jump to Double Pulley.

Congrats! Great to see what these dual pulley setups can be doing in these conditions. No exhaust mods is cool to see too.

It was with 100% E85 as listed on the pump...which in reality was 70% Ethanol.

I filled up at the local Kroger grocery store a few miles from the track.

Very impressive. Congratulations! We should get Arin to move those top 3 spots off the leader-board to somewhere else, lol.

Indeed! I can't wait. I think this platform still has some more in it, sans Magnuson, which I'm now convinced I will never get..

Agreed about the platform. I don't want to sell my car anymore for that exact reason. I won't go e85 but I'm excited to see what my car does on race gas with proper tuning for dual pulleys + apr's dsg tune this spring

Re magnuson... Eurocode posted something interesting on their fb today... I think there is potential in that product but the dual pulley route is less expensive and producing impressive results. Heck, you filled up at a Kroger (for less than 93 pump gas would run), cut a stupid good 60, ran 11.4 then drove home with all the luxury amenities of an s4. That's awesome for roughly 6k all in

The best part imo was when he backed up and there was the backup camera. Drag car with backup cam. Classic lol.

    Nice work Tom.

He was hitting close to 18.5 psi in his logs on the dyno. That's at 600ft., probably 50 degrees, and 99kPa ambient.

Awesome 60' and nice et/mph. These things get off the line so quick on street tires!!

Does your lower pulley have a hub so you can use different sized rings? Also if you ditch the cats and get a less restrictive exhaust, you'll drop a few psi, lower iats and make more power, but you'll also need a bit more fuel.

Ditto, I had ordered an M4 w/ individual paint/interior months back, but made a decision to cancel my allocation (thankfully was able to do it as the build date was delayed) due to the development of interesting things (E85 & dual-pulley), so i'll be holding onto the S5 longer for the same reasons, low 11's, still have luxuries, and still be able to meet emissions with stock cats intact, a win win in my book.

He was commenting on the OP's use of APR's TCU tune which allowed him to use a 4500 RPM profile for launch control.

Just curious, what do 335s run with stock internals/turbo and e85? Can't find good info on google. Saw the M4 runs low 11s with a tune which is bonkers. But please don't let my question derail the thread into other cars vs the s4.

depends on the mods, but the current stock turbo record is [email protected] (that was with an E60 mix).

Does your lower pulley have a hub so you can use different sized rings? Also if you ditch the cats and get a less restrictive exhaust, you'll drop a few psi, lower iats and make more power, but you'll also need a bit more fuel.

No, the pulley is one piece. I'd make less power wit a smaller diameter and I do believe we are at the max with the current diameter so I'm very happy with the JHM.

As for exhaust.. I refuse to touch my exhaust for a couple reasons. I like the sleeper effect and quiet of it while pulling off times like this, and also for emissions. I've pulled cats off and stuff in the past on other cars and it was such a pain come time to inspect or even sell the car. Just my preference.

I agree with the exhaust part. And I'm really glad to see that exhaust is purely cosmetic/audiophile stuff. i.e. can still get tip top performance without having to swap it out. I do want the growl, but it IS awesome to blow past people and they don't even realize it (they are always looking for that crazy roar like the bimmers or 'stangs have lol).
