A fun day of playing in the snow ended in tragedy. Could've been a lot worse. Have a look

This is the rear passenger wheel. Hopefully this is the worst of it. No body damage, but I still haven't jacked it up to look underneath

did you hit a curb sideways at speed?

meh it happens. enjoy your $250ish mistake and learn from it...no worries.

highly doubt anything else was damaged but maybe your lug bolts too I guess?
I'm living for the day I can park something Italian inside of my house.

I had one wild summer on match.com. -some jackass

Yeah I didn't pay attention to how fast I was going, but I hit one of those parking stops. I'm surprised the bead held on the drive home.

Wow! Super surprised that held air. Not too bad a mistake if that's the only damage!

How did you hit the parking curb? Slid directly sideways into it, or did you just knick it? Speed? Was it secured to the ground or did it move when you hit it? I ask because if you slide sideways into a curb, it's really easy to throw off the alignment or damage the wheel bearing.

I slid sideways into it. The stop was covered in snow, but I think it was anchored. If i had to guess id say I was doing 20mph or so.

    that would be lucky.

did something similar a few years back in the snow and my rear rim looked the same. had to replace rear subframe amongst other things (had to tilt steering wheel 30 degrees just to go straight), $2k in damage.

Alignment is definetly off after something like this.

    I would guess you need:
    -new wheel
    -alignment
    -possible suspension damage?

Well I got out there and jacked up the car. There was no noticeable subframe damage and the wheel bearing had no play. I drove it in my parking garage and I could only get it up to 30, but there was no noticeable variation in the alignment, odd noises, or vibrations. Ill probably get an alignment anyway after I replace the wheel just to be sure.

Spun out on a patch of ice in my old car and slid sideways into a curb. Messed up my wheel, bearing and alignment.

The stops were on the perimeter of the lot. I just couldn't pull away from them
