I amy be going for a long drive to pick up some B6S4 Recaros.

Any special tools I will need other than a 8 or 10 mm tripple square?

Are all the B6 S4 seats manual? so will I be able to move the seat around without a battery in the car (donor) and also position them to fit in the back of my Avant with the seats down.

May be getting front and rear seats if the Donor car is an avant

P.S... Anyone got pics of "white" B6 S4 seats in a B6 A4 that came with "black" interior?

Nice find. WAY BETTER than the stock B7 seats you were thinking about.
S4 seats are power. Most likely, you'll need a battery to move them.

Agreed. If you have some 14.4V cordless batteries, they work just fine for this purpose. Even ~18V should be okay.

When I got my S4 seats I removed my passenger seat before leaving home and just plunked the new one in it's place. It all worked fine except for setting an airbag code. I just cleared it later with no ill effects.

Get the back seats too!!! Sedan seats will work in the avant, you want them to match

Just a T30 torx for the rear back seats if it's the same as stock

It's actually a triple square drive, not a torx. Torx will run the risk of damaging the bolt head.

You want to get an M10 triple square drive bit

To clarify, the front seats, you'll need the M10 triple square. The back seats, a torx is fine.

You'll have no trouble fitting the whole set of seats (both front seats, plus the rear bench and backs) into your Avant with just your rear seats folded down.
Avants can swallow an amazing amount of stuff!

I was fixing the washer pump while I waited for him to get back to me.
