    Ultra Racing Chassis Braces?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I just received the CR-15, but haven't installed it yet. Other than the CR-15 and the AK, what else is available? I searched and found the Ultra Racing bars (I have zero affiliation with them).

Has anyone tried these out? Any good results? I searched, but it didn't appear there's been anyone that's tried them (only two threads mentioned them).

I have the rear lower brace and the strut bar (a4 only) and both pieces are really well made. Doubt the rear brace does anything as it bolts to a solid piece that is already linked, to itself, on both mount points. The strut bar adds more of the same as the CR15.

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I had the mid brace on my S4. It made an enormous difference in chassis rigidity. Definitely recommend.

found the thread in A4 section, you should read it.. I'm curious about clearance issue since they are made for A4 not S4. maybe with aftermatket exhaust it could not fit and then i read that ultra racing make these strut over RHD frame and not LHD so theres not more complexity.

I would love to run them. much less expensive than AK or 034

I'm looking for pics too. I'm concerned about exhaust and speed bump clearance for the mid lower brace (sits under exhaust), and clearance over the supercharger for the strut tower brace. The only pic I could find was the strut clearance over an A4 engine cover, but I don't know how tall those are compared to the S4's supercharger. Here's all I found:

    Ultra Racing Chassis Braces?

If there is anyone in the St Louis area with an S4 that wants to test fit the strut bar, I'd be willing to pull it off. It's just four nuts, pretty quick to remove and install.

I had an UltraRacing chassis bar for my VW CC. Looks well made, considering the price, certainly no better or worse than most of the other brands. Other than lighten you wallet, and make the car a little heavier, it can only help chassis rigidity.

I had the middle brace for about 2 years.
    Huge difference.

Surprising the rear rigidity gone up significantly...easily feel the difference when going into basement parking lot turns...

One side note is that because of the protruding prongs, sometimes the brace will touch/scratch grounds, so becareful.

Was this on a B8 S4? Got any pictures of it mounted?

Anyone tested the 2.0 A4 front upper brace on the S4?

I think the best thing would be to post in the A4 section then someone local with a s4 try to fit it.

However, I think it suck we have to go throught this instead of ultra-racing simply taking a S4 B8 and try their part see if it fit or not, but then again, it appears that Ur are working with RHD car which appears to have different mounting point + there's slight difference with B8 vs B8.5 so at this point it seems like a gamble..

I know of myself, Lettuce (Boston) and Slowone11 (near Boulder) with the UR strut brace.

There are also a few US distributors that might be able to help with a test fit. DNA in Rowland Heights, CA and CDM in Dallas, for two.

Worst thing is if you go on ultraracing.my it lists the B8 S4 upper brace with part number, then ultraracing.uk claims they can't source me the part.

I saw a pic once on their site listed as S4, but the car shown was a 2.0t

I bought the UltraRacing upper bar (UR-TW2-2762) on Ebay, shipped from Malaysia, it arrived bent....new one on the way. I will let you know if it fits my 2010 S4. It looks very similar to the bar they sell for the A4 2.0T (UR-TW2-1412), but with different shaped end-brackets to clear the 3.0 V6.

Bent?? I wonder if it will help if it bent in transit. Hopefully it was just bent when it was assembled. Let us know how you like it and install and if it rubs on anything
