RS3 in USA?

Back in July, there were all sorts of articles claiming the RS3 was coming to the USA.

Is there any updated information on this? I REALLY want an RS3 to be my next car. :)

There was an article about a week back with an interview from the president of Audi of America basically saying they were bringing it and a few other cars over. No time frame was given, though.

I asked a friend that works at Audi about the RS3 before I bought my S3, he said that there is nothing official but the general belief in Audi NA is that it will come here in 2017. He also said that it was going to start at $60k to $65k.

I would love to see either or both rs4/6 Avants come over. However I would prefer the rs4 sedan

I have a 2014 so I have plenty of time to wait to see what they offer and if an rs4 sedan is released bye bye current car

If an RS4 Sedan is released in the U.S.. it wont be for ATLEAST two years as it is not in Audi's plans for 2016 or 2017.

So I've read which is fine. The more time the better. I planned to keep this car for at least 10 years but by 2018 it will be paid in full and if the option is there for an rs4 in 19/20 I wouldn't mind a car payment again

It will most likely be a 19 but no info on 2018 release info yet.

Will likely be on sale 3rd quarter. Can't wait.

+400 Horsepower from an all new aluminum block 2.5-Liter inline-5 engine
7-Speed S-Tronic Gearbox
Optional Audi Virtual Cockpit
Optional Audi RS 3 specific shell seats
It will have a facelifted appearance vs current RS 3 Sportback
New headlight design and front grill
Wider track than the S3
It will be awesome!

What we don’t know:

Price
Best guess: $55,000-$60,000 starting
ETA
Best guess: Late 2017 as an MY’18

There is still a small part of me that is questioning that article altogether - there is no mention stating specifically what RS models will be sent to the US and hopefully Canada.

"While the exec declined to give any specifics about what he meant by “and then some”, it is likely in reference to the impending Audi RS3 sedan and potentially, RS variants of the Q5 and Q7 which would sell well in the SUV-loving States."

This all seems like speculation/conjector at best.

Well...it looks like an S3 with different bumper and headlights. Was hoping to see some of the Clubsport Quattro Concept body lines on it. Also need a rear end photo, but at least we know it exists now.

I had TTRS and performance parts were double the cost compare to 2.0L S cars.
I'm glad i changed to S3, lot more parts and almost half the cost on performance parts, and MSRP car cost is much less with big discounts. There was no discount on RS model.

The Euro 2015 RS3 Hatchback has a nicer/bolder front end. This new one with the fang headlights look unappealing. I hope this is an error, was really look forward to an RS3 but not looking like this.

I just want the car for the 5 cylinder, turbo engine making 370hp.
Cant imagine with exhaust and a tune would do to that. Hopefully put it in the 450whp range, and be a 10 second car.
