Beer for VagComm in Sacramento area?

Just finally got an S4! Had a heavily modified B5 Passat that got totaled, got an A4 to replace it but needed more power. Searched for my unicorn for years and finally found my 2013 Estoril Blue S4 Prestige 6mt. Love the car but the list of desired mods is already growing. I'd love to at least start with turning on the key fob window controls and turning off the headlight "wink" but can't see spending $300+ to do it. Hoping I can find someone in the Sacramento area with a VagComm that'll help me out for a case of beer...?👍🏻

Look into Carista for some nice easy tweaks. Same price as a two good cases of beer and you can keep it.

OP, first of congrats on your new B8.5. TBH, I think the long term benefit vs short term financial hit on buying a fully licensed VAGCOM, not just for tweaks but as a tool for diagnostic is well worth it imho. In any case, if you were local, I would have gladly helped you out.

However, since I'm not local.. here's a very useful tool to have --> VCDS Locator, just enter your city, state and it will give you a list of registered owners in your proximity (where you can kindly proposition with said beer). Here's the link http://www.maptive.com/ver3/VCDS_Locator

Awesome! Thanks to all! I definitely get the long term benefits of having a Vagcom but right now the wallets running thin from my recent car purchase, lol. Looks like Carista will do everything I want for 10% the cost. If I don't find anyone close with a cable that'll be my route. (Like the profile pic vwblackb5)

Lol, I am impatient as hell and always pay for it. As such I already ordered a Carista adapter, so no need for the vagcom help right now. Thanks for the offers guys! Glad to see there's a great community for this stuff in Sac though. Also very interested in the meet-up(s) you mentioned infinkc. Love to get together and see what everyone else is doing with their cars, get inspiration and make good connections for my own future mods.
