    Sup everyone!

I'm obviously new to this forum and kind of newb to all the audi stuff at the moment. I've totaled my car (oops) and the insurance is giving me back a good amount and i'm thinking to move toward a nice audi A4 2012.

I've shopped those for 2 weeks now and for the budget i have, i could either go for a 2013 premium, 2012 premium plus with nav OR 2012 S-Line. I did try the 2013 premium and i've sit in a 2012 S-Line and i felt like i had more for the buck in the S-Line model.

    Premium 2013(basic model) impressions:

    - Leather seat are a bit slippery for passenger and in my country, really cold leather in the winter and really hot during summer.
    - Passenger can't just lay back by pulling the lever, they have to turn the wheel quite a couple turns.
    - Not sure about this one: is there a connection for MMI media?
    - Couple hard plastic on door panel

    S Line 2012 impressions:

+ Interior look is really nice and the exterior as well with the spoiler kit
+ The seat won't be as cold or hot due to the suede and also less slippery
+ I really liked the 3 zone temperature control (so gf stop complaining its too hot or too cold ;) )
+ Some more quality material inside

    Not sure about these tho:
Is the drive select really changing the experience? haven't tried this model
The car is beautiful with the 19'' inch mag but combined with the S line package i fear that the ride might get way too hard, especially where i live with all those potholes!

I need your opinions to help me make a easier choice and i have a main question down the line:

Does any regular aluminium mag 17'' with the good bolt pattern fit the S Line model? because the dealer told me the front brake are so huge that no steel rim will fit there. I need a set of winter tire and i really wont putt winter tire on the 19'' mag! I don't want to buy the car and having to spend another 2000 for a set of mag plus the rubber.

Don't be too rough, it's my first time on this forum! !

    Thanks in advance :D

    Hi

I also live in the Montreal region and I have a A4 2103 premium plus S-Line.

I find the interior of the S-Line much better with the alcatera seats and flat bottom steering wheel. The 19 inches wheels are fine and really not too hard, even with all of those potholes. The drive select is also fun to have and yes I feel does change the driving feel.

As for winter, I have 17 inches mag wheels with Nokian Hakka 8 winter tires and the car is so much fin to drive in the snow. Also, the Nokian tires keep being efficient even after 3 years. My car has 80 000km on it now (bought it new) and I still love it.

Thanks for the quick reply "gimastla"

Now that you convinced me, i got some new questions that comes to my mind.

First: for the 17" mag, should i got for Audi original mag which might be hard to find used and would cost alot at the dealer OR go for custom mag (if second, do you guys have any good website for mags and rubber too?)

Second: Can you guys point out all the differences between 2012 and the 2013 for the S-Line package.
I know these: Different Exterior light type and shape, some different style spoiler, the steering shape, modern light writing for the temperature and dash info.
Those im not sure: Does NAV come with all S-Line 2013? Same for Back up camera? SOUND SYSTEM? I'd really like to have that B&O sound system, i read alot of critic about the stock sound system ( i didn't test it myself tho ).

    Anything else anyone?

    Thanks

The answers to a lot of your questions are found here; it was written for the US market cars but Canada should be very similar:

If you want to downsize the wheels, look at www.hartmannwheels.com for replicas of Audi wheels in different sizes, or look to the aftermarket. For aesthetic reasons I wouldn't suggest going smaller than 18 inch diameter, unless you'll be using them strictly for snow tires. Also, wheel sets of different sizes show up in the classifieds frequently so you could get a good deal there (and sell your S-line 19s too, if you don't want them).

Thank you sir! I did scout around a couple threads and ive seen that one. Seen a couple of your threads and broo also! I still dont knoe about the b&o and nav option on 2013 tho... for sure they are only option on 2012 s line but is it stock onto 2013 s line... i was just wondering because all those 2013 for sell SEEMS to have it.

Anyway, for the tire, yes it is ONLY for the winter tire. So i think 17" will be cheaper for the tire and the mag as well. Also maybe some more grip. Ill check out your link for those mag! Thanks again
