    Nardo Grey Wrap!

I'm a graphic designer at a local sign shop and we do a lot of vehicle graphics, but this is my first time doing a full color change wrap (minus the roof). I (somehow) managed to complete the whole job from start to finish in just over 2 12-hour days, including the wheels with some help from a couple friends for a few hours. I highly recommend going to a professional to do this kind of work as it isn't your typical DIY project. The vinyl choice used is Avery SW 900 Gloss Dark Gray as it is the closest vinyl color to Audi's Nardo Grey. I've seen this wrap done on an s4, not sure if he is on the forum, but his instagram is kleapers4. His car is the inspiration behind mine. Although I personally do not know him, his s4 is beautiful.

    Anyway, on to the pics:

The biggest pain throughout the whole process:

    Autodip'd the wheels gloss black

    Final pics:

Photoshop: thoughts on this style for the wheels? I sometimes feel the all black is a bit too much, but sometimes i dont mind it... can't decide. Also, I added some gray to the door

Awesome! What's the ballpark on the whole car wrap? Does it withstand scratches?

Nardo Grey will be the #1 choice I think for people in 2016.

Ballpark, you're looking at anywhere from 2-4 cabbages depending on the extent of the work, door jambs, roof, ect. and 3-5 day turn around time. I only had a weekend to do it start to finish, so I left out the door jambs to save time. I'm considering going back to doing those.

And yes, think of the wrap vinyl material as a colored clear bra. It protects your paint underneath. as far as scratching and swirls go, if you treat it as you would a normal paint job, it'll hold up just as well as paint with washing/waxing. Just don't polish it lol.

Thanks! I'm still not sure if i want to peel away the outer edge to expose the machine finish or not yet...

I chose a different company thank plastidip because they don't offer a gloss black. The brand i got was Autodip. Turned out good so far, not lets see how they hold up with this Snowtorious BIG Snow Storm that's about hit us here in Maryland.

Why not plastidip it instead? Liquidsmoke has become an expert at it and it's much easier to apply and remove than wrapping it.

The wrap job looks very clean though. Nice work.

Hey bro! Car looks fantastic! Kudos for doing the wrap yourself! Yeah I think a little tint to the tail, wrap the handles, amber delete the front headlights, and add some carbon fiber bits and pieces. Keep up the good work and thanks for the compliments on my build! Let me know if you have an IG account and if I can share your pics.

I work at a sign shop, the vinyl was easily attainable. Nothing against plastidip.

Well done - the Avery material is great (it's the only one we use), so the quality will hold up. Impressed that you DIY it - it takes us about 16-18 hours to wrap an A4 sized car (including door handles, mirrors, rebadging, etc), so doing it first crack in 24 hours is great. Awesome job!

Great choice but dont like those rotors in black, would look cleaner with the original color of the wheels
