Thank you for being there to help me when I'm stumped and can't figure out how to proceed. You and there are others too who always here to offer solutions to the problems that I encounter. I may not solve the problem with the first bit of advice but because you and others continue to offer solutions I have always figured it out in the end. So again Old Guy and all of the individuals who offer advice when I need it thank you

i agree. hes currently helping me diagnose a problem with my car and its been pretty much him the whole way. i second the op as well. thank you and the other members that lend a helping hand to a fellow car guy in need.

My B6 would have been long gone if it weren't for OG and a bunch of others on here being able to help whenever needed. Instead I bought another one because I know if there's a problem and I can't solve it, someone here can. I've ventured to other car forums when dealing with other cars and it's just not the same. Even if I get a different car I'll probably still post my problem threads here.

I believe that whole thread about Commissioner Gordon and the Old Guy call signal etc was deleted by the moderators for some reason. I remember trying to find it a few years ago and it just wasn't to be found. The Commissioner Gordon lookalike pic may still be floating around somewhere in some other thread.

I would like to add my praise to "old guy" and his willingness to help and share knowledge! I am a newbie member and new to Audis and the whole DIY world and this community is excellent! There are many other members who are great contributors as well, but being new, I will not attempt to start naming them as it will be like Oscar acceptance speech and I will no doubt forget someone.

p.s. I just had to get my serious thankful comment in before this thread turns hilarious as hinted by the few posts above already. lol

A1 guys. Old Guy is the one guy I've seen/read about that Will not flame you if you do something against the grain of the "usual" AZ. He justs helps if you need it, and gives suggestions instead. Kind of guy that keeps car enthusiast forums going. I havent been apart of AZ too long, but been long time member of others. Cheers

I would also like to express my appreciation to the members who offer a wealth of information. In particularly OG! Just a few weeks ago I was considering making a Post to thank OG and I'm always skeptical to open a new post without exhausting my search for an existing post. I'm glad I found this one to add my two cents worth..

Thanks for all the kind words!

Over the past 13 years of ownership I have picked up a wealth of knowledge from so many other forum members. It's very gratifying to be able to learn this stuff, pass it along and then watch as new members expand their knowledge and understanding and tackle projects that had probably would have never considered doing in the past.
