Accelerator pedal to the floor and VAG COM says 90% - Is that normal?

I'm just learning about what I can and cannot do with VCDS, so I may be worrying about nothing here, but I thought I'd ask.

Last night with the ignition on, but the car not running I was looking at some of the data I could view with VCDS and noticed I could see the Accelerator Position by percentage. I noticed that even with stomping on the pedal (again, car not running, just sitting in the garage) it barely got to 90%. Here is what I got:

    Not touching the pedal: 15%
Pedal pressed until contacting kick-down switch: 76%
    Pedal fully depressed: 90%

Again, this could be completely normal, or perhaps there's another value I should be looking at, but my expectation was that a fully depressed accelerator would return a result of 90%. It also surprised me that without engaging the kick-down switch I was only at 76%.

    Any thoughts on this?

I also found some other threads that discount the importance of the percentage actually reaching 100%. In a nutshell the logic was that the ECU can interpret that percentage and adjust it to mean 100% to the ECU based on some tolerances that are built in.

    Thanks again.
