Pardon me but this car is the most clunking Audi I ever had (A4 B5 & A4 B6 Avant). How do you debug the clunking? I see little seeping on the strut when I replaced my starter last weekend. The upper control arms look new (no dust). They look solid to me.

When is it clunking? Check mounts and struts. DRC may be on the way out or you may have a blown mount somewhere on the drivetrain.

Whenever go over bump or pot holes (thank god not that many in my county), not turning. I notice the front sway, even after tighten seem to be loose, so I added a washer to ensure it is tight, but still clunk :(

You said one of the struts is leaking? There's your answer. Replace it or go coilovers.

Your DRC is clunking, it means it may be on it's way out. Do you know if the recall was done previously? Mileage?

Doesnt the upper control arms clunk over a speed bump if they are on the way out? Now he says his struts are leaking so his sounds like drc.

Don't know if DRC has recalled yet. I bought the car from original owner but he did not provide me any paper work.
