New to me 2010 A6 Avant Prestige

Ive had the car for a week now and I really enjoy it. I wasnt necessarily in the market for an A6 avant but it caught my eye (the red paint) on my local craigslist. After researching the platform more and seeing the car in person I decided to make the purchase. I had it detailed on Saturday and next on the list is an oil change and to get the windows tinted. I also have my B5 s4 avant stage 3 meth tuned, so I don't know how crazy ill go with the modding if any, but I'm already very tempted by a tune and pulley and also an RS6 style grill. Anyways on to the pictures:

That is the first Avant that I have seen in red!! Looks great!! I highly recommend the Stage II+ tune!!

Appreciate the compliments guys! I think I got pretty lucky to stumble across this car. Such a shame Audi doesn't bring avants over to the US anymore. I have a question though, what's the widest wheel that can fit (no tire stretching)? These peelers will become my winter wheels since they are already curbed and I need something for snow duty, so I'm looking at a few options.

Nice... What suspension is on it? Looks like a good safe drop for snowy conditions. I put Eibach springs on mine and it dropped way more than the 1.2 inches advertised at just over 2 inches in the back for my Avant. I put the stock ones back on for the loss. Changing rear springs on our cars is a PIA.

Red and a C6 Avant in the U.S. has to be pretty rare.

Had a B5 Avant too with only a K04 and way to many mods in the 13 years I had it.

Wow! The red is really going to pop when you tent the windows. If you're tuning, I've heard nothing but positive things about the Chipweke piggyback tune (bang for buck).

Sweet ride and definitely one of the most rare unicorns within the small herd of A6 Avants. Nice find!

To be honest I'm not sure if it's dropped, but it must be since that's what some are assuming. I havent seen enough of these cars to know or tell if it was right off the back. Ill need to get under it when the weather is nice to find out what exactly is there.

It will be a while before I tune, but Id most likely be going to my local tuners for it. I have AMD who tuned my B5 or I have some APR dealers as well.

Can you try to find out if it's dropped? Also, are the peelers 19's or 20's? I'm going to be going with a set of summer wheels here soon and I personally like the look of peelers over everything.

My peelers are 19x8.5 et48.....thats what the spare wheel has stamped on it and its an OEM wheel. As for a drop, the car appears to be on stock front springs. No eibach or any visible writing I can see, just black springs. Gogin to go take a look at some local wheels today. Im just not too sure on the fitment since they are 20x10 and the seller doesnt have the fulls specs and doesnt know the offset. I hope they work though since it's a screaming deal....

Awesome. Thank you for the info. I'm glad that 19's can fill out our car decently on oem springs. I'm having a hard time convincing my lady to agree to a drop via coilovers, so I was worried that it would look like a 4x4 even with 19's.

Woohoo, the wheels I found fit. Well, when I test fit them anyways....I have yet to drive with them on. That will be for when the weather is nicer. The wheels are BC forged HB27 20x10 with 255/30/20 tires. They have a few tiny chips in them, but I got an insane deal for the rims and tires that have only a few thousand miles on them. Granted I think the tires are too small for my liking and will need thicker sidewalls, but Ill need to test fit more and see how much room I have to play with. I don't know how close to the tires are to the control arms currently. Not much room for wheel spacers unless I want some poke, but that's not what I'm going for at all.
