First three posts updated with the car in it's current state. I'll be updated anything new at the end of the thread in the future.

4rings, thanks for this thread. I bought a tip allroad a few months ago (also have a 6 speed B6 I've lightly moded) and after getting to know my allroad it's been difficult to know which car to build. Your thread makes it even harder! I'll be following this thread and likely be down to camp allroad after hearing you liked it.

That is a pretty tough call really. Hopefully I've inspired you with the allroad, there's a ton you can do with it. Also the community is really chill too.

Which brings me nicely into camp allroad. TONS of fun and also nice to have another Canuk join us :)

You should post up an into thread with both of your Audis and check out the C5 Inspiration thread. Some sweet ideas in there.

Do you have the RS6 tacho fully functioning? What was necessary to make it work with your car?

Thanks my man. You need SKC (easiest with vag commander) from both clusters, then new cluster gets coded with original cluster skc and V6 engine in my case- yours is already V8, your wheel diameter, etc.

For sure. So, yours is fully coded and works without any issues? I always wondered what the Bureaucrats would think of the KMPH. Oh, and I want to make mine a V6 TT so I may need to wait on that one

    Great write up 4rings2turbos!

I live in Australia and have owned a 2002 Allroad with Tiptronic transmission for the past six months. (Manuals were sold only 2001 in very small numbers)
It has traveled 230,000 kilometers and my main issue has been oil leaks from the motor.

I am interested in the 'piggy' modification but I am concerned the exhaust noise level may be increased. Did you notice this with your car?

I read that you did a 'washer change'. I am interested in moving to jet sprays for the windscreen washers but have not worked out the best way of doing this.

Do you consider the 'viscous fan delete was worthwhile? I assume you replaced it with an electric fan.

I have considered replaced the brake hoses with stainless steel hoses. Did you notice a difference in braking response?

Finally, there is no reference in your account to modifications to the anti-roll bars. I am considering the Hotchkis bars but the exchange rate of our currency and overseas freight does make them expensive.

What state do you live in? Do you have inspections? IL does not inspect beyond emissions and they couldn't care less that my speedo is in KM/H. I like it in the way that it's more like an imported model and the Euro cluster doesn't have two measures of speed so it's MUCH less cluttered and more pure looking.

    Why not go V8T? ;)

Appreciate the compliment! It's been tons of fun and it's at a place where it's starting to really feel complete (despite having many more plans). Anything else will be cherries on top.

6-speeds must be SUPER hard to find then. The Piggies are a 100% positive experience, no downsides. The only increase in sound is turbo whistle, that's it. But the spool is immediately noticeable.

Can you elaborate on what you're looking to do with the washers? I don't quite follow.

Fan delete was definitely worthwhile because my original fan had cracks in it and was a ticking time bomb. I didn't replace it with anything. No issues, even in standing traffic in hot Chicago weather. I'll eventually put a fan back, but for now it's just fine. It's not blowing up and taking out other parts and it's a little less mass for the motor to turn.

When I did braided lines I also put in the 4 piston monoblock calipers and 270mm rotors at the same time so the difference was HUGE but I do know that at least some of it was due to the braided lines. It's a nice mod for the money.

I haven't done sways, instead I did 285 R compound tires. They do a massively superior job at road holding than roll bars, but for feel I'll do the bars eventually. They're expensive here too even without the misfortune of currency exchange rate.

Colorado, so I think everyone is too high to care/ notice. Yeah, I don't think there's any specific law that can be referenced, or at least that I can find <3 UVC 2000
That cluster is fzckin sick though, I got it on my list.

V8TT? Too rare, I want the B5 RS4 V6TT built for now- until I change my mind again.

This was a great read. Loving your car.

What ever happened to the orange belts? Any more details on those?

I've found a company in the uk that will do orange belts for me, but it's rather low on the priority list..... obviously.

I'm going to finish them this winter. The problem is I'm looking for a papaya orange (like yellow-orange) but the only webbing I can find is bright solid orange.

I want them for the Sportsters though so I'm going to do them and redo them later if I find the right color.

Apparently a lot of places won't touch seatbelts. The place I found is plush auto motive.

They should be able to do any color you'd like.

Funny, I was considering pink too after I couldn't find papaya.

What I've found is there are maybe 50 'stock' colors that are mass produced and because the fibers have the color impregnated instead of dyed it's not easy to get an actual custom color.

Send them to me and I can send them back orange. It's really easy, the hardest part is access to the industrial sewing machine capable of sewing the thread weight required for it to be safe. I got my DOT webbing for $120 I think.

Technically it's legal since there are no traffic codes enforcing those not actively partaking in commerce on the highway, but that's on each individual if they want to open that can of worms.

For the most part cops don't seem to care that it's not a normal plate.

I decided those tiny 285s weren't cutting the mustard in the rear anymore.

I was looking for Trofeo Rs but I found a deal on some Corsa System take-offs that I couldn't refuse:

    Two more updates for today:

Alcantara door cards starting to get installed, this time they came with rear shades so I don't have to swap the inserts into my original door cards.

(nevermind the shiny seat, it's lathered in Leatherique)

And orange seat belt webbing finally getting stitched up.

Some small things coming up and I'm pretty sure another C5-first mod soon. Some might not care, might blow some of your minds

I was pondering that a bit ago. The P1, Huracan, F12, R8 V10 and Vanquish all have more narrow tires. The 918, MC-12/Enzo, 991 GT3RS have the same width ha!

325 tires eh! Awesome, really interested to see how you pull this off with offsets and such. But I recall you saying something about hubs. I would like to use S6 uprights and hubs on my green one to gain the wider track and shed some weight.

I'm not sure about the offset of S6/RS uprights and hubs, but the allroad has the widest track from factory of all the C5s. Despite the most narrow wheels and tires.

I'm trying to have some custom hubs lathed to run OE Porsche centerlock nuts and wheels. I have some other things going on this season so I'll most likely be postponing that to next year. I'll just be widening my current wheels for now.

Meow, did you just swap the alacantara part over to your OG door card? Also, are you doing the rear belts too? They are a pain. One last question, how close will the rolling diameter be between the front and rear?
Ten years ago if you had 500HP you were the man. Now days that means you bought a new car.
