    Vinyl wrap mirror covers

    Anyone on here wrap the mirror covers, I'm thinking its a cheaper alternative to s4 mirrors, I just don't know if it's possible with the shape of it

    im sure you can with a heat gun.

    Getting mine wrapped with 3M 1080 brushed aluminum vinyl. Will post pics in a couple weeks.

    Doesnt hurt to try. Vinyl is pretty cheap.

    I did mine in brushed alum. 3M 1080 textured. its tough with the textured stuff.

    First I did the mirrors, then i said screw it, do the entire car.

    Vinyl is super cheap! You could easily do both mirror covers for less that $20. It's just a massive pain in the dick. When applying heat and force to the textured vinyls you can actually warm the form of the texture and will cause minor imperfections if you really have OCD and care about it that much i recommend using a flat vinyl colour.

    I was quoted $250 for my mirrors with 3m 1080 from the shop that did my tint and thought that was way too much. I may try myself, there are a ton of tuts on yt on how to do mirrors but brushed/matte covers are only $220 on eBay if the diy doesn't turn out well.

    Talk about a high labour charger considering that really all it is to apply a sticker!
