do the RS4's suffer from similar timing chain/guide issues

as the S4 does? I'm seriously considering a high mileage RS4 and plan on beating on it pretty good, I read mixed things about whether or not the RS4 suffers from the same failures as the S4, and google has been no real help, and of course Audi is absolutely zero help.

    Thanks - Z

At least you don't have a 335xi. Then I would be worried about serious maintenance.

2006 was the best year for e90. You can run that engine 300k.

Indeed 325/328 is bullet proof engine, I did not have to do anything over the last 4 years except for the clutch worn (at 130K so no complain). 335 also suffer of carbon built-up just like RS4, in fact when it time need cleaning on RS4 I am thinking to go to those place that clean BMW
