"...only one major performance modification was needed for Senner's Audi RS5 to cross the 500 horsepower barrier. Senner Tuning replaced the RS5's stock exhaust with a valve-controlled stainless steel exhaust system along with an adjustment to zero-pressure monitoring. The result is a total of 506 horsepower and 352 lb-ft of torque. Enough for a run from 0-60 mph in just 4.2 seconds, on to a delimited top speed of 186 mph."

How can we adjust for zero-pressure monitoring?

This is interesting... Seems like a huge gain for a single parameter adjustment.

Sounds like Senner is using a Capristo Exhaust. http://www.capristo-usa.com/capristo...lces2v1_1_.pdf

Dependent on certain conditions the pressure sensor can slightly alter. To make
sure that constantly exact measurements are carried out, the control unit
executes an automic zero balance. This always happens when the measured
pressure remains unchanged during the adjustable period of time. Values less
than 10 minutes should not be used here.
Remark: The automatic zero balance does not work if the device is switched
on together with the ignition. In this case as well as if the display does not show
0 mBar in case of stopped engine, you should perform a manual zero balance.
For this purpose please select PREFERENCES -> ZERO POINT -> ADJUST
NOW! or wait for the preset time with energized ignition, but with stopped
    engine.

I am skeptical of a 56BHP increase when most RS5's do not even make the 450 as advertised.

I'm very sceptical of those results!

The most restrictive part of the RS5 exhaust is the catalyst Audi put in the scavenge zone of the manifold. Swapping a factory valved exhaust for an aftermarket valved exhaust doesn't gain you a magical 56hp no matter what drugs you're snorting at the time. I really wish they had supporting dyno pictures, as said above, the car doesn't make 450hp as standard.

I suspect they saw a gain of 56hp, and then added it to the published 450hp. Though, does sound a bit hard to believe.
