Pulled the trigger on the Pro Piggy back. Guess I will be the Guinea pig for us SQ5 guys.

I was ready get a stage 1 flash tune and while researching the b8s4 forums I came across multiple threads with CW and the results were very comparable.

I should have it in hand by Friday and hoping to get it on the dyno this weekend and post some numbers up.

Yes! I haven't staged yet because I don't want to lose warranty. Looking forward to this

Big plus with these piggy back tunes!

I figured even if it's not for me or the gains aren't there it would be no harm, no foul as it doesn't count as a flash to the ecu.

How are the shifts with the Chipwerke? I think I remember reading that some owners experienced jerky shifts if they didn't stay on the throttle. I've been eyeing this upgrade because of the whole TD1 issue with ECU tunes so I'm interested in other users experiences.

I am always hesitant when it comes to piggy backs... pretty sure they work by fooling the ECU. I.E. it is reading 10psi but chipwerks says no that's 8psi, once chipwerke is sending it 10psi signal it stops building boost but is actually at 13psi.

if this is a real option i would be highly interested, though!!

Haha my current car funds are so limited I'm being sour/going for the biggest bang for my buck. Seems a TON of people in the S4 forums have bought and logged data.

So it rained all day long but I didn't let that stop me lol. I didn't get to drive it as much as I hoped and give it enough time to adapt but so far I felt a difference at WOT. I have the dyno scheduled for tomorrow at 5pm and I will drive it some more before.

I've had my Pro since about 500 miles on the car. Now just a little over 8k and no issues. Been running on the 5-1 setting on 93 with no issues for quite a while. Curious to see the dyno results. I do have to say that it was a noticeable difference when I removed it for 5k mile service.

Try running the dyno with the Pro first since it should be adapted, then maybe try a few settings and finally remove for the last run once the car cools down a bit to be fair.

Yes that is the plan. I will make two passes on the CW then remove it, drive for a bit and let the car cool then make another pass on stock.

So good and bad news. We couldn't get any torque readings no matter what we tried only HP. Since the vehicle was already strapped in and hooked up, I went ahead with the dyno. We just did 3 pulls and the best reading was 343.57 awhp. Average of the 3 runs was 338.35 awhp.

The gains are definitely there! I can feel a difference under normal driving and WOT. So far I'm happy with the results, for price and gains I can't ask for much more.

Yea curious about this too. Wouldn't mind a 0-60 difference either. Even a consistent .1 decrease would be nice.

No we didn't have time. We spend most of the slotted time trying to get the dyno to read for torque but were unsuccessful.

I might be taking it to the drag strip next week. I will definitely be able to get a few runs on the chip and stock.

I did while the chip was first adapting. After the first few drives it's been smooth and hiccup free.

Good to know. This is really the best bang-for-your-buck upgrade among all of the tune options out there. Thanks for the info!

This seems to be the best setting to run on. I spoke with them before ordering and they set it to this pre delivery.

I was told if I decided to do a pulley upgrade I can switch to 7-1and get more gains. I've seen one guy in the B8S4 section running this and seems to not be having any issues.

It made a big difference. It was easy to install, but the instructions don't show how to adjust it. The end has two screws that you remove and the knobs are behind it. I used the settings Dan is using and I didn't get any codes. The wiring is a little long and I may move the module.

Curious to know where you put it...I wasn't sure where to place it. Where would be the coolest point in the engine bay?

I used industrial Velcro and mounted it below the strut bar. I may move it.
I drove it for about 10 minutes last night and 15 minutes this morning. The throttle is very touchy now. I'm sure it needs to adapt so I'll drive it for a few days and let you know how it is.
